I noticed at the 10:39 to 10:50 mark in your video you have a pressure type plug showing in the background. My MK25 has 2 plugs: one for eng oil and transmission. Do you know if these can be used to fill or drain the oil/transmission fluid in these units?

I looked back at the video during 10:39 to 10:50 and I don't see what you're asking. I think you're talking about the oil sample ports that are under the passenger side steps. Those are for taking a small sample of oil to send to a lab

Sorry about the goofy user name...not sure what happened there. Yes, those ports are exactly what I was talking about, though I didn't know that is what they were used for. Now I know! Thank you for the reply. @@micahadams2

There's a trick to this whole proceedure. Use a Oil Filter Piercing valve after you've drained the main. You can make a venturi rig out of it if you use your Knoggin'.

you know good thick 7mil rubber gloves are inexpensive, which keep your hands cleaner.

Are there places that you have picked up information on these trucks. Looking to purchase and get parts.
@micahadams27 ай бұрын
Just on the internet. There is a Facebook group for the 7 tons

The people who designed the metal cover around the oil filter should go back to school!!!! The bottom piece of metal should have a shape just enough like a funnel with a hole so that the oil would drip through to catch!
@micahadams2 Жыл бұрын
That's a great idea. Maybe we can take a big crescent wrench and bend a portion of the metal down, so it drains

What’s the top speed down the hwy? Do yo think it would pull a Tri axle tag trailer with a 40,000 pound excavator on it?
@micahadams28 ай бұрын
They are governed at 65mph. On a 6% grade with 34k lbs I get down to 35mph but all the semi's are going that slow too
@trinitylandscapingandexcav79658 ай бұрын
@@micahadams2 otherwise on flat hwy no issues?

And do you know a good source for new tires? Seems like they are hard to find new and don’t want to get into something I can’t find tires for
@micahadams28 ай бұрын
On flat ground it does 55mpg no problem when loaded. I have mine tuned to 505hp so that helps. In So Cal we can get used military tires pretty easy. They are easy to find, just expensive to ship @@trinitylandscapingandexcav7965
