It's Guys like you that make things simple for the rest. Great straight forward video especially liked the fact you gave the sizes for sockets and hex key made my Oil change a breeze.

Thanks for the clip when I first had an attempt at this couldn't work out where the small O ring included in the oil filter packet went on, later found out that it went over the hex key bolt on the oil filter , noticed you didn't include this otherwise brilliant !!! Thank you

Great job mate, easy to follow, add the small ring and perfect. Fuel filter next? Changing the side light is a pain in the ar$#, maybe a vid on how to get the panels off easy would be good too. Well done.

Hello Oz Rcboy and thank you for your video. Hoping you are able to assist with where to add transmission fluid? I know that they were released with a bull$#!+ Statement saying these wouldn't need transmission fluid changing 😂. Found the drain and it was all but black! Seriously had to smell the fluid to make sure it wasn't an extra oil sump. And to find anything on the internet is another headache in itself. I know ideally it needs to be looked at by professionals but the cash just isn't available and if I can do something as simple as a trans-fluid/solenoid/switch etc myself then that's my first option. And regardless of whether you can help or not I thank you for your time and wish you all the best

Hi Lachlan - thanks for your comment. I'm sorry I've never looked for it and can't offer any insight, but yes - you always get a bit suspicious of things where the fluid is supposed to last for life.

Are you sure that oil capacity is 5.7L? I have a 2012 2.2 Santa Fe here in the UK. My oil capacity is 6.7L.
@pc44pilot943 жыл бұрын
Yep mine to... bought 10 litres of the low ash oil (C3). Should have a bit left over so only 5 litres next time..

ACEA B4? So your car doesn't have Catalyzed Particulate Filter(CPF)? If It does have the CPF should we use the ACEA C3 instead?
@ozrcboy24 жыл бұрын
Val Miguel - thanks for your comment. I see the manual does mention the use of C3 oil if you have a DPF. Mine doesn't - and I understand those sold in Australia don't. This thread may help - forum.australia4wd.com/index.php?/topic/30710-santa-fe-dpf/ If you have a DPF absolutely use the C3 spec oil, and if you are unsure you'll need to get someone to help you identify it. Because I haven't seen one I can't tell you how to reliably identify one - sorry.

please , Does oil filter for diesel car is different from that of petrol car...
@ozrcboy22 жыл бұрын
Your filter manufacturer will be able to tell you the right filter for each model. I don't happen to know if the filter that fits the petrol motor for the equivalent car will work sorry - it might, it might not. But if you go to the filter manufacturer's website, and enter the vehicle details it will tell you the correct filter.

For the none dpf model sold in Australia oil is 5.7l. Check your own manual for your vehicle if in another jurisdiction.

6.7L oil no 5L oil
@ozrcboy22 жыл бұрын
Hi mate - the vehicle being serviced is the model sold in Australia with no DPF filter. It takes 5.7 L of oil, not 6.7. 6.7 will over fill it. So 5.7 is definitely right for the vehicle I'm servicing. I understand in other countries a different model, with DPF, is sold. Before you fill your own car check the manual that came with it for capacity and fill to that and from about 80% of fill slow down checking the dip stick as you go (after giving the oil a few moments to reach the sump. Keep in mind, adding more oil is easy, but taking it out is a pain.

@@ozrcboy2 You're right friend, I probably have DPF in my car, my car is a Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 diesel / I have 6.7 liters of oil - by the way DPF? 🙏
