Don't know if you ever look at this post, but I have the exact lamp you have - it was my mother's (they were very poor sharecroppers in Arkansas). I'm trying to order a wick and measure the width of it, but when I looked inside the 'chamber' there are 2 small 'barbs' (don't know what else to call them). What are those for? Do they grab onto the wick as you raise it or this is probably a dumb thought, but are they the guides for how wide your wick should be? If that is true, I'd nead a narrower wick. Getting ready to order. I do tend to overthink things! Is that my problem?

Nevermind! I just found my answer on a guy's site - at least I guessed right but they are just part of the little barbed spin wheel that raises the wick up! Sorry! I just saw 2, (duh) until I spun the little wheel around and saw all the 'teeth'! Sorry - dumb woman question! Sadly, husband died almost 2 years ago; I'm sure he would have known . . . thanks!
