I enjoyed how you sketched the house, then talked about changing it and its size. I was watching a video of Thomas Kinkade painting on his yt channel and he was painting a cabin with a road going by it, and then in the middle of the painting, decided to scrap the road and put in a knoll instead. It's nice to be reminded that everyone changes their mind and that changing your mind is not only ok but you're allowing the painting to grow of its own accord.

That's why oil paint is awesome. You can paint down something and halfway though completely change your mind and do something else.

A lot of good tips here..thank you...nice depth ...beautiful clouds...you rendered the house nicely. Natural looking grass...the brush in your hand is magical...not many can write with that 2inch as you do...haven't seen one artist yet.. Please consider a (building) technique full lesson...maybe a tad one perspective...this would be nice as a full lesson...

+Sheryl Parsons hi Sheryl, I hope.you don't mind..in reading your comment, please don't give up..the transistion will come..it Maybe about the pressure your using..with oils the amount of pressure you use is different ..light..medium..the underpainting would be a bit more and it's all about using your arm not wrist. Anyway..I wish you the best..if you'd like to indicate what specific area is ...I would gladly help.

Another delightful painting demonstration. It is always a pleasure to watch the picture develop to the sound of your calm and soothing voice. Just one question. How do you treat your paintings once they're done? Do you oil out? And do you varnish when they're fully dried?

+Charles Peterson Thanks so much for your support! I will sometimes varnish with a spray varnish after the painting is completely dry. To fully dry, it will take several months or longer depending on the humidity. Just keep them on display, in a safe place until then and they should be just fine.
