I just witnessed pure magic. This is so beautiful and so realistic, it's almost like being in a dream while looking at it cause you just can't imagine such perfection can be real. This is the most difficult thing to do, at least for me, the fact of being capable of doing such detailed work of art in oil painting is just, marvelous. Besides, what do you do if you do something wrong?, how do you fix it if it's a really big mistake, like something really bad? Do you just throw it away and start the painting from 0 again? I mean, this is incredible!! You are such an amazing artist and talent. Looking at this it's like watching a real picture. UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!!!!

Billy, the advantage of oil painting is its long drying time. It is therefore possible to simply wipe it off if you make a mistake. Otherwise, once the paint has dried, you can sand it down slightly and start over again or simply paint over it with opaque colours. That's one of the reasons why I love this technique. wonderful - would you ever consider doing a "how to" on blending skin tones on the canvas and types of brushes etc? i have no clue still i'm just guessing/fumbling as i go! brill video thanks for posting.

Brushes and colours used are very different from one painting to the other. Unfortunately, there is no standard mix for flesh tones. Maybe this is the key... Thank you for your comment Julian!
