I have a book by Edward Seago, rather disappointingly illustrated in only monochrome, and a book about him, with gorgeous full colour plates. The last year of his life was tragic - but I suppose the last year of anyone's life can be somewhat grim.... He was a wonderful artist, and maybe all the better for being self-taught.

I finished my paid profession using 3D cad and found a free but quality program. Started with a drafting machine but mostly calculated things. Visited Machinic Island in the Great Lakes. Common picture and one I also took was of the channel market light and an opposite shore light house over the break water of the port. Well I wanted the image from the opposite shore and couldn't find one. But found a foot print of the light house and pictures looking elsewhere. So I created a 3D model and use the perspective algorithm. Channel light is too small. Will have to revisit it again. I was one that said was going to use water soluble oils. I know that you do not have to use any media at all. And there isn't may available. Do have water soluble oil and thinner. What I do like is that you do not need a as many brushes since you can actually clean them on the spot, however; the water softens the bristles so your driven to synthetic materials that don't absorb water and stiffer. Which is not advertised in the stores. Yet haven't tired acrylic bushes that only list used for that and water colors. Suspect listed because the material is damaged by oil.

Hi Thomas , that it great! thank you for your coment! I must say I dont like using water with special oils. in my experience and i paint for over 30 years I have never damaged a brush! first of i buy good quality brushes at Rosemary and co in yorkshire, than I just leave them in kitchen oil after use , wipe them the next day and im good to go again, When i wash them I use black soap and after I coat them with hair conditioner. even my old brushes are still goin!
