Watching your video really do inspire me with my art. I work a lot with acrylics and it's more comfortable for me to work with and mix it up with other things like charcoal and ink. But watching your works with oil really want me to give it a try. Just practice with new things over all. And inspire me to get new ideas for my works. Watching your videos also really help me calm down and relax, beautiful work Lena, seriously. Always happy to watch more of your videos ♥

For you and Andrew Tischler both of you excel as teachers and for me you inspire which is far more valuable than the canned studio courses I suffered through in school. The only thing I learned in traditional art school was to complete assignments and show up for class. My love of art was very nearly extinguished. Perhaps we do learn by example, as most the instructors I ran across were not active artists, please keep giving and painting for those of us who pursued more traditional careers with great regrets

I am not a sentimental person, but art and music make me feel at peace. I wish I were as good as you are. It must be so satisfying to paint a loved one, a place you particularly like, a happy moment... I know I can take pictures, but I've always been the crafty type and I think that... You know, to arrange the colors and literally build an image by yourself is way more enchanting. I wish I developed my art skills, because sometimes I need to express my feelings or see images in my head but there are no words to describe such things. Only art and music.

I am still in high school, so it's not like I have seen much yet, but I have always thought that I wouldn't be able to make a living or a difference by focusing on art in the way people expect of me, and you have just changed my mind! I usually stick a band of paper scotch tape on the canvas before I paint the horizon so it will always be super straight :) like your time lapse and love the colors, thanks for sharing!❤️

I am really touched & in awe as your explanation of the “illusions of smushed paint” is precisely what has inspired me my whole life too!!! I have immense appreciation of all artistic expression, but the “realistic” sense from afar, when viewed up close as marks of paint is simple, yet so amazing to me! Lena i have a tip for the horizon line. I use tape to get the line straight. I use masking tape I believe or painters tape. Then when u peel it off u get a perfect horizon line. I learned this trick from katie jobling. Maybe this will make it a little easier on you. Beautiful work as always lena
