Very nice. I like the idea of blocking in the different shades. I’ll try it. I would like to see what you are looking at while you are painting. I really like your narrative too. Thank you!

Inspiring and well explained, as usual. Thank you for sharing, especially how you selected the image to paint. I learn a lot from your technique and how you explain value and temperature of each color. Loli

So good to hear from you, Loli! Thanks for your kind words. You know, once we start to see the world around us in terms of relative values and color temps, we can paint most anything.

Thanks for the study. Beautiful. Are you still doing the Tuesday night live demos? Do you notify the time before hand?
@ScottRuthvenFineArt Жыл бұрын
Hi Paula, I'll begin the livestreams again over the winter (likely November) - Tuesdays at 7PM Mountain time. Subscribers are also notified. I'm glad you're here!

Pause at 6:37 you’ll see you’ve formed a shape of a face on right tree- continue to 9:02 the face is more pronounced- Can you see it? There’s - pareidolia- where one can see faces- objects within clouds - rocks- trees etc- It’s astonishing that many don’t see this- here it’s very obvious- there’s two eyes and a long nose..:: side mouth- head shape- even the left tree has two eyes- just an FYI- step back have a look and keep this in mind- when creating shapes- I learned this from Bob Ross- Pause 9:02
