I love that color numbers and swatches shown at 0:19 absolutely fantastic. Before starting the painting following the video, I analyze the color scheme and I watch the video first just taking notes to understand the process. Then, I do the painting following my notes while watching the final result of the video. I never follow exactly the same steps, it’s almost impossible. Understanding the strategy and applying it on our own process is what important.

A brilliant idea to remake the works of old artists. Even Picasso learned how to paint like Rubens. He learned it in 4 months then later he developed his own style.

That is good! What kind of pencil did you use? I mean the black one.

Wonderful drawing, you work really well with the oil pastels! I notice that you use a pallet knife to scrape off pigment from the stick, do you have to heat it up or just scrapping it off and applying it directly? Also, what's that black colored pencil you use to make the trees with? Is it a water soluble pastel stick? Cheers 😄

Thank you for your comments! I normally scrapped off directly. If it's too hard during winter for example, you can try to heat it up a little bit. That's an oil based color pencil. 😊😊

@@alloneart8796 What brand do you use? I tried polychromos, but the point was still too hard and just scraped off the oil pastel underneath.
@alloneart87962 жыл бұрын
@@dantheman12193 Hi Daniel, sorry I didn't see your comments earlier. It is totally normal to scrap off the pastel underneath. There is no way to avoid that. And this is how you get the color onto paper, as long as you use an oil based colored pencil

You should specify the name of the colors while using them
