Oil Pressure In Royal Enfield Motorcycle Unit Construction Engine

Royal Enfield motorcycles with unit construction engine (UCE) have a single oil source for lubrication and cooling of engine, transmission, clutch, hydraulic lifters and valves. It has a powerful oil pump that supplies all these compartments.
The oil pressure however varies with the engine speed (rpm) and engine temperature. The viscosity also plays role in the pressure. This video shows oil pressure under different conditions.
In hot engine the oil pressure is about 10 psi at idle, which is lower than 38 psi in cold engine at idle. The oil pressure increases as the engine speed (rpms) increase. A 15W50 oil was used in the motorcycle.

The factory Service Manual states that the trochoid oil pump delivers 4.5 litres of oil per minute at 2750 rpms. The oil pressure was stated to be 4.5 Bars which is equal to 65 psi. However the conditions for 65 psi oil pressure were not mentioned..... // ....In cold engine the oil pressure was found to be 66 psi at 3000 rpm which is close to the published specs. The observed data provides a lot more information than the factory manual.
