I did this from the top by removing the heat shield off the exhaust manifold. its easy, just three bolts and O2 sensor connector to remove, this gave me more room for my hands to reach the connector.

I dont have any oil leaks but i have a oil burning smell at very high revs. Is it from this or the valve cover ? But no visible leaks. But after driving 1500 kms to 2000.kms 300 ml of engine is lesser. No ford mechanice able to explain. Do i need to update the valve cover as you suggested in other videos?

The threads are way too long on the sensor.. So when you install The new sensor it won't be flush with the engine block, there will be a decent amount of thread the doesn't enter the block, u can see it clearly from directly underneath The vehicle. So like he says in the video do not over tighten! There will be extra threads not in the block you will notice on the old sensor when you pull it out, how much threads actually go in the block and how much do not. Also if you park on the incline at least I was you do not have to drain the oil in order to swap the sensor some will pour out but not much Good luck.

So if you do chip the aluminum could you replace the oil pan, or id this not in the oil pan?

It’s part of the engine block, pretty much a new engine
