Both of these work on my guage , brand new sending unit still reads 15 ish. Checked oil pressure manually with a guage and it has 40 lbs. really starting to piss a guy off

Hello..again..I have a Question..The other nite I left my HI Beams on my 88 Suburban for maybe 20 / 30 minutes..The engine was Running..I was helping a friend change a tire..for some reason ALL the lites went out on the Suburban..I MEAN every LITE and the Horn and Radio Display.....I checked all Fuses/ Breakers in the Panel..They were all good..The only Lites that work are The Reverse lites and Brakes..."Totally Weird "..My Suburban is totally Factory.. No Nothing / Aftermarket accessories..The only thing that I,ve never used were the HI Beams...since I've owned it..I ordered a NEW '"Headlight Switch" ..Have You ever heard of this Happening..?.. Any help or Opinion would be Great..Thanks Daren...

Easter Egg time .... Get a Chilton or Hanes book trace the wiring to a focal point that would effect all these areas ... I bought a flood car that had multiple problems that came from large corroded connector. Good luck God bless😇

@@mbjdiy1778 Hello..I found the problem today..The shop that put the motor in used" Tin Foil" as a Heat shield by the Starter..[unbelievable ].. It Fried one of the" Fusible Links" against the Solenoid...UGH..told you they were Hacks...Thanks for getting back to me..Daren

Hello..Thanks for the info..I have a 1988 350cu Suburban..Its All Original.[ Everything Worked Super Clean ].. .Got it from the First Owner..The Head Gasket blew a year ago..I had a Shop Pull the motor..UGH..they were kinda Hacks..My Oil Gauge dose not work ..Nor my Cruise Control and A\ C...I'm guessing they Jacked the Wiring up behind the Distributor against the Firewall..??..You seem Pretty Good around these trucks..Does that seem like a good place to start...?? It is a good call but at the same time get a Chilton or Hanes book to get the wiring diagram to make sure the ty up between all that are damaged to key in on a specific area that could have been cut or damaged or never properly reattached .... Good luck God bless and Works for me 😇

I have a 2005 mustang gt reading no oil pressure I drove it 2 hour home when I got it. I changed oil oil filter and sending unit still no oil pressure showing on dash. I went and bought a oil pressure tester hooked it up and got 70 pounds at cold start. Now I’m wondering what the issue is with the dash saying no oil pressure.

When I ground the wire my gauge pegs 80. When it’s just disconnected it’s zero. Does this indicate a bad gauge?

Oil pressure gauge reading too low, generally below 15 to 20 PSI while idling. ... Oil pressure gauge reading too high, or over 80 PSI while driving, especially at higher RPMs. ✨Syptoms of bad oil sending unit: The best way to test if your sensor is bad is abmormal low oil pressure gauge reading when oil was checked and was full level . If the low oil pressure warning light comes on or reads low when they engine’s oil levels are normal and your engine is running smoothly and quietly, then you likely have a bad oil pressure sensor. Anytime this sensor is defective, it will give you false readings. Hope this helps God bless😇

My gauge is stuck all the way to the right. If you tap on the plastic covering the gauge (like in the cartoons when they're trying to get it to work) it makes the needle slowly go back to about halfway. When you turn the ignition on, it rapidly goes straight back to all the way right. Bad gauge? I tried unplugging and reconnecting the wire as seen in the video, but no change

The oxygen sensor is mounted on the exhaust I do not understand the question. The oil pressure sensor on the video is by the oil filter via tube to the block. Works for me God bless

Each maker and car are a little different same concept but different via computer out put not straight from sender it is best to consult an automotive manual . The newer the model the more complicated they get. Better yet call a Ford parts department they will tell you if its analog or digital ... if digital get a manual. Tell me this fuel gauge experts.......I have a 1987 chevy van I pulled the tbi computer out, all gauges working except fuel!! So know all of this knowledge of grounding the the fucking gauge wire and it going from full to empty, I've done this on my 68 chevelle actually this wire will read 8 volts, this through me off when I was in my van trying to find the sending wire to the fuel gauge without pulling the gauge cluster apart and tracking the wire. When I tested my chevelle and had the sending from the fuel gauge read 8 volts and I knew there was a wire in the van that read the same volts, I felt confident that if I hooked that wire to ground the gauge would go to empty....and sure enough it did! But now the gauge won't go back to full when it's not grounded........so my question is this did I just have fluke and the gauge just blew itself?

If you have dual tanks ... you have fuel tank selector ... which can effect relay in center cab console which feeds through ECM A1 and A2 for selector relays / selector switch / FTS / and a lot more with wire and connections check this site my friend scroll down to schematics / I understand what you are doing but I cannot stand a can of worms situation these things can be so darn awful to trouble shoot with a computer (ECM) forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=9072.0 Good luck God Bless

1. wire grounded that is connected to sender / disconnect and gauge maxes out rules that out 2.Sender stuck or bad/resistance reading at electrical connecter will change as pressure builds up if good if not bad 3.clogged oil pump screen or oil feed to sender pipe is clogged or oil filter clogged hook up gauge from harbor freight (ithink 1/4 NPT is what I used) to sender oil pipe to get a gauge reading and work backwards from there 4.Bad naughty gauge / aftermarket 40 to 60 bucks now / OEM the sky maybe 100 + four choices there may be more WORKS FOR ME good luck God bless hope that helps

Both work with decreasing resistance as the temperature rises; but with differing values (USA - 100 deg F = 450 ohm; 175 deg F = 99 ohm; Euro - 40 deg C = 281 ohm; 80 deg C = 68 ohm). Again, the sender and the gauge need to be the same protocol, otherwise there's a false reading. Hope this all makes sense! We also have the following type: 0-100psi,240-33 ohms output;1/8"-27NPT; 0-100psi,240-33 ohms output;1/8"-27NPT;low 11psi alarm/warning switch; 0-150psi,10-180 ohms output;1/8"-27NPT;low 11psi alarm/warning switch; So you need something like the first one of the options where the resistance is falling rather than rising. However, you do need to make sure the sender psi/bar rating matches your gauge. I suspect it is Caerbont so contact them/speedy cables and get them to tell you/sell you the right sender. Steve

If you do the test I show in the video with the pressure gauge and that is good. Wiring or the gauge is bad. All in all these gauges are notorious for going bad.
