I would probably be this woman. I grew up watching my dad fix things around the house and handing him tools he would need & because of that I can repair a lot of things myself. I hope none of the guys who have worked at my house have ever thought what some of you guys are saying! 😂 The fascination of watching people work continues because here I am watching Steve & BabyDog.

I always watch my contractors , because they always leave the doors wide open when going in and out of the basement, and like this channel I find learning how repairs are done will save me money. isn't that why we are all hear to watch and learn what we can fix and what we should call a professional in for? At $96 an hour for a plumber to change a wax ring, change a shut off, or flush and clean your boiler? I don't get in their way or stand directly behind them.

Steven, You might want to tell any customers if they buy diesel fuel at the local station that they need to keep the receipts so they can add the receipts to the tax filing so they get the state and federal taxes back as the diesel fuel is being used for off road use hence the customer is entitled to the taxes back. Here in New Hampshire that amounts to $.50 per gallon so if you buy 25 gallons of fuel that's $12.50 in taxes for one trip for diesel fuel for heating the house. Most people I see buying diesel fuel here in New Hampshire average 20 to 25 gallons a week. It adds up to a lot of coin. Nice job

Very entertaining video, adorable dog! Just bought a house with oil heating, the whole workspace / heating system room stinks unbearably. I guess it's normal or shouldn't it smell, maybe cleaning the floor once would help. The thing is I'm not using it (hot country). Thought it would stink only when u use it. Is there a airhole in the tank that i can close when not using it? Im totally new with this thing.
@LincolnSP150 Жыл бұрын
Looks like just changing the fittings and redo the the actual plumbing method, the holes in the wall are already high enough, unless you want a longer nipple into the top of the tank.

Diesel and Kerosene are NOT the same. Rented a torpedo heater for a heat stress test on electronics in a room and the fumes were terrible. We figured it must have been on a jobsite and ran out of Kerosene so they had Diesel on hand and used that. I emptied out the tank and refilled with fresh Kerosene and problem went away, no more fumes!

Steven Help I have seen most of your videos, this boiler has a valve on the head/pressure side of the pump what do they call that ?? My house is in a hill and I am trying to setup my boiler to run on what would be like a 3rd floor witch is the first floor for out back with the tank inside the garage 22ft below I have a Beckett frame and motor to run the pump by the tank and send up oil under pressure using 5000psi brake line and a relay. or is there some kind of loop that I could make (like a zone in heating) to run with the boiler and just pull from that? the Sun pump people only can make 18 ft with there best pump The tank was out side next to the house and we get down to -27 at night sometimes up here in the white mountains New Hampshire I have had to buy a lot of kerosene to keep things running. last year $$$, the garage only went down to +25 on the coldest night. I don't want to move the boiler with 5 zones or heat the garage
