20 dislikes given by some ignorants, I believe. How can people judge such legends as David Fyodorovich Oistrakh, who will never reach to his level within their lifetimes...

El más bello y hermoso diálogo en la historia de las artes. Solo el Gran Maestro Beethoven podría haberlo escrito.

I love this version of the sonata: So relaxed and free of any performer's vanity. I do think the middle movement may be a little faster though Beethoven qualified the tempo by adding "ma molto moderato e grazioso". I think it should have a "menuetish" lilt, more wistful humor than serious complaint.

The tempo of the second movement is perfect---almost any tempo would be if played with the skill, insight and tenderness of O&O. The second movement is neither wistful humor, and certainly not serious complaint. It is one of the most intimate love songs (instrumental) Beethoven ever penned. Full of affection, the syntax of the dialogue exaggerates Beethoven's genius at writing for the two instruments/voices/characters/lovers. This is Classical-Romantic music at its finest. Again--the tempo: if only the movement would never end!

Great playing. I understand the need to make money, but why have an advert start after the first bar of the 3rd movement. Totally disrupted my enjoyment.

That's right, Beethoven himself writes on the original score "sonates für klavier und violine" (with piano before violin), and in this sonata in particular, the piano is almost more important than the violin. This can be seen from the instrumental equity of the first 2 movements in particular, where there is no predominance of the violin over the other instrument
