This was specially picked out to wear on HOA board meeting days! Out of all of the things I’ve done in my life, I never thought that serving on the HOA board would be the most dramatic. 🤣

Do you replace all water in lyr solution with beer and OJ?? Do you prepare beer before by boiling it or anything else? Doesn t the acidity of OJ alter part of the caustic soda so the soaps will be a bit more superfatted? How do you accoynt for that? Thank you so much for sharing all these videos

Hi! So many questions that I didn’t address in this video, I know! I have a video about mango purées wherein I show the process, which is similar to orange juice, as well as multiple beer soap videos. I am also releasing a big lye video showing the different ways lye can be incorporated, according to the “rules” and which ones can be broken, in the next few weeks. For this video, this is a 25/75 split of orange juice and beer that is substituted for the full amount of the water. I didn’t freeze or otherwise prep the oj/beer for this one, but you certainly can! In this recipe, there’s roughly 1 gram of citric acid in the orange juice (OJ contains around .25 g of citric acid per ounce), which doesn’t neutralize enough of the lye to alter the superfat significantly, so I tend to soap my juice soaps at a 3% superfat knowing that the superfat may increase slightly but not enough to impact intended performance. :)
