No-one, but no-one, sings like Cassandra. And when she sings other folks songs, she makes them her own

I can't really do justice to what a profound offering to the universe this song represents. There's the excellence of the song itself, but then there is the service of recognizing and trying to repair a profound historical injustice. You have lifted the two souls to new heights, and in the process made the rest of the world a better place, too, for everyone who ever experiences the grace and beauty of this song

A moving, lovely piece! This is the sound of beauty in music; especially in terms of vocals. Just perfect! This work stays with me. So well done!

A beautiful tribute to LesterYoung thru the Spirit of Billie Holiday, one that encompasses his style(the relaxed sax style). LesterYoung was THE stylistic influence of MilesDavis' ballad style. Later.

On that album you can heard blues and a little bit a funky tone mixed up with jazz..she can sing everything but always put her signature which no one couldn't repeat..

My only disappointment with the movie Lady Sings The Blues was that Lester Young was not even mentioned in it, let alone portrayed. Billie was cursing in her grave.
