Backstory: I transferred in a different school in my 3rd grade, and as a "pampered goody-two-shoes" girl, I'm sensitive and a crybaby. I experienced verbal bullying and it affected me that I always tell the grown-ups everytime I got mocked (of course, I would cry but it just fueled their actions). Story: One lunchtime in my 5th grade, I was watching a cartoon video on my phone when one of the troublemakers picked on me. At this point, I was tired of whining and increasingly irritated (wondering why I made myself an easy target before), and I quite have a loud voice than how I normally sound. I decided to take matters myself, the first time. I stood up from my seat and approach him as I glared at him, hitting his shoulder with mine (that's how usually the boys pick a fight with each other) and asked him, changing my voice to a deeper yet loud one, "Got a problem with me? I think you have better things to do than mocking me." And sat back at my seat. He was flustered and just sat down in silence. I was often told by my mother that I have a scary glare. I felt so refreshed with what I did! (But this event also unlocked a problematic behaviour I developed. Paired with my "goody-two-shoes" policy, I became a tyrant **cough** **cough**)

When I was in junior high school (middle school) I somehow became the target of a group of about 4 bullies in ninth grade (I was in eighth), whom I didn’t know. They would come up behind me when I was walking in the halls, even when I was walking with my friends, and they would do that thing where they flip/snap their fingers on the back of your head or neck, like snapping a towel on somebody’s butt, and it hurt. I’d say stop (I was really a wuss back then), but of course that only made them laugh. I told my mom, but she said “they’re just trying to get a rise out of you, and if you ignore it it will go away”. She was no use whatsoever. Needless to say, it did not go away. After a couple of weeks of this I was just about done. One day they were there and another boy I had never seen before (I think he came to “visit” them from another school) and they were doing it again. I had just said to one of my friends walking with me, “I don’t know how much longer I can take this”, when *boom* I somehow left my body and watched myself (my physical body) spin around and give the new boy a super fast upper cut that broke his jaw. I heard it go crunch, and he had to reach up and hold his jaw up. Then, just as fast, I was back in my body and was so shocked at what I had just done! I was about to say, “oh no, I’m so sorry” but then I realized I was NOT sorry at all because they had been bullying and hurting me for several weeks, so I whipped my head back around, chin up, and kept on walking. I never saw that new guy again, and whenever I saw the regular bullies in the hall they would quickly turn around and walk the other way. I felt sooo badass! I realized much later that no one ever told that kid’s parents or authorities about how he got his jaw broken because what ninth grade boy is going to tell ANYONE that he got his jaw broken by an eighth grade girl?! And I never got bullied in school by anyone ever again. That was my proudest moment, but the leaving my body part still has me a little freaked out.

About the Hemlich manoeuver, you can practice on another person when you learn first aid in a class (you're just instructed to not go as hard as when someone is actually choking) or you can practice on mannequins (for children and babies) ^^ Also, important to note that there are different techniques you can/have to apply depending on the victim : - classic manoeuver : regular person, from toddler up - manoeuver where you put your hands a bit higher than normal : on pregnant people and people with a bit of extra weight - manoeuver using just two fingers : babies (you also have to lay them on one of your legs, support the back of their head ith your free hand and put said head a bit lower than his/her feet) - you use only two fingers to avoid breaking some ribs YOU CAN ALSO DO IT ON YOURSELF WITH A CHAIR PRESSING DOWN BELOW YOUR STERNUM (saved myself like this once)

Badass moment? When I was I kid, my brother and I would often chase each other around the house. He’s older than me and had much longer legs, so, he was gaining on me. He was right on my heels, and in a moment of what can only be described as slo-mo clarity, as I ripped past a table I knocked a chair over behind me. Because he was literally, like, a foot behind me, he had no time to register what I’d done and tripped over the chair, and crashed into the side of our pool table. Best of all, he wasn’t even mad at me, (being my big brother and all) he was just astonished at the badassery of what I’d done, and even congratulated me on the quick-thinking. That moment is one of the only times in my life where I have truly told myself “DAMN, I’m a badass”

I’ve had one of these moments, though I think I have to give the credit to me being tougher than some. I was about eleven or twelve, I was at science camp, and I was running down a dirt path to the field everyone was playing in. Suddenly, I tripped, rolled sideways about five feet, then slid on my hands another foot. It hurt a bit because the campgrounds had this certain type of rock everywhere that was sharp and painful. I just got up, dusted myself off, gave a thumbs-up to my teachers, who were watching to assure them I was fine, and I skipped off.

@@rosewalls8776 I would say try to make new friends outside of that friend group or spend more time with family. Spend more time exploring your hobbies. Spend time with your pets if you have any. I would personally say try to just cut the whole group off because if they're willing to just let her hurt you without standing up for you then they aren't really your friends either. Toxic people don't deserve your time and energy. Since you said this person hits you alot, tell a close family member and maybe report it to the police. Stand up for yourself. You did once, you've got it in you to do it 1000 times. If your friend hits you, you can call the cops (or principal/Dean if it happens at school) because what you described is assault and I'd wager her putting you down like that could also be considered emotional abuse.

Me and two friends were walking to mcdonalds at 10pm and all of a sudden when we were next to the highway we saw a little boy at around 5 years old almost walking onto the highway, my friends recognised the boy as the brother of a guy he’d been fighting with, i immediately asked where his brother was thinking he’d walked there together with him, the boy wasn’t verbal. My friend told me that he had some diagnosis. He didn’t really understand us. My friend had the phone number of the guy he’d been fighting with and called, turns out he was really far away, and the boy had went an hour away from home to the highway all alone. The boy’s brother called his parents while we walked to mcdonalds with the boy. Around half an hour later the dad arrived and picked him up, if we hadn’t stopped, which we were about to do for a second when we didn’t realise he was all alone, the boy would have probably walked right out into the highway and died. It’s a pretty remote path as well so we were probably the last people walking there that day. That boy went on an hour walk to mcdonalds cause that’s where his instincts led him.

He avoided me the rest of the school year - A kid called me fat in 3rd grade so I just turned around and punched him, he started crying - The same kid that told me to die kept bullying me afterwards, but I'd always fight him and win so he had to leave the school bc of me Those are all the ones I can remember rn but damn, I am a badass

A similar incident happened with my little sister and him (this only happend like ten months ago)nothing stopped my from targeting him dodge ball and after the incident with my sister (about a week or two later ) he tried to pick a fight with me in the parking lot I didn't actually fight him he would just do like an animal roar and charge at me or my friend ( who was his cousin) we would just dodge also if she wasn't there I think I probably would have just gone back in side or actually have had a fist fight with him also the friend is not my best friend they are two different people

My fake friend pretty much abandoned our friendship during 7th grade when she tried so hard to befriend a bad influence who was supposedly a popular kid. Aside of painfully being name-called "stalker" when she didn't want me to hang out with her at school, the bad influence one time convinced her to hit me when I was minding my own business in the girls bathroom. She actually punched my boob then responded obnoxiously "that's supposed to prevent breast cancer!" In the heat of the moment, I direct punched onto her back after she turned around to walk away, then responded with anger "well that's supposed to prevent scoliosis!" She and the bad influence just obnoxiously laughed it off but she was obviously afraid of me after that since she never approached me ever again. My mom eventually told my fake friend's lipstick-selling aunt everything I told her when they met at our local gym a few years back. The aunt was not only shocked but also admitted to my mom that she remembers my fake friend driving her parents insane with her hideous personality change. It was at least a huge relief to know that my fake friend's family hated the bad influence.

My badass story: I was a tiny timid year 7 (11/12 year old) who is the definition of the nerdy kid. Just started high school and made some new friends. One break time these older boys (either year 10 or 11 = 14-16) who were giants were just annoying my friends and apparently had been for a little while (idk if it had started that day or a couple days prior). One of my friends had a water bottle and joked about throwing it on them if they come at us again. Now idk what came over me cus I have always been shy so either I really wanted to impress my new friends or they annoyed me sm I snapped but I grabbed the bottle and threw it at them. I was relatively weak so only like half came out on his arm and he saw red. Came straight at me and tried to grab it out of my hands and suddenly I got a superhero like grip and not only held onto the bottle, but managed to squeeze it in such a way the rest of the bottle came out all over his arm. He left mad af but I don't think he ever annoyed us again and I was like a savior. Whenever I remember this it always feels like watching someone else through my own eyes.

When I was little I was extra terrified by the idea of childbirth because I had only ever heard my birth story, and I was born with a C-section. So I thought that that's how all kids were born. They all have to be cut out, and there's no other way.

When I was in 4th grade a bunch of my peers and I were playing hide and seek. The kind of hide and seek where there are lots of players and you can block yourself. I blocked myself but the boy who was seeking insisted I didn't. (I didn't know at the time but in years after it became obvious that he was kind of a bully.) Anyway, he was unreasonably angry about it. He had started shouting at me and grabbed my shoulders and started shaking/pushing me around. Before I knew it, my instincts kicked in to defend myself... I punched/smacked him in the face so hard that he had a nosebleed. Looking back now, 9 year old me was a total badass. The boy never bothered me again.

Welp I remember one time my teacher decided to arrange the seats and make the classroom bully seat next to me. The first few weeks were okay but then he started to bully me. I'm in a bad mood that day so I stand up from my seat and slap him. He looked so scared when he looked at me. TvT

Theres dummies to practice on for the Heimlich maneuver. I remember having a class where the teacher had one specifically made to practice on. It even comes with a little block on a string to put in its throat
@BlueDiamond-uf2ff3 жыл бұрын
4:47 Not sure if this is helpful, but when I learned how to do the Heimlich it was a medical class I was taking.... Basically what happens is that you practice with a peer and you wear a choking vest that has air in it, there is a tube (Medium sized) in the Vest. You then put like a piece of foam into to mimic food, then the vest is put on the peer. (The vest against the peers stomach.) From there you work on trying to get the foam out of the tube. Which is by wrapping your arms around the peer and pulling in towards yourself which would be pulling in on their stomach and slightly pushing up.

My mothers boyfriend tried to kill me as an infant, but my mom revived me. The neighbor taught me to fight by beating me up everyday until I could match him. I saved my brother from drowning. I almost died in a riptide saving a kid. I beat up my wrestling teams heavyweight (I was wrestling 126). I saved my friend from getting kidnapped at the beach. I saved a guy that caught fire in the arctic. My friend and I saved two girls from being kidnapped by a large group of guys. A drill instructor tightened a towel around my waist so tight I had bruises around my torso and I pissed blood for three days(didn't miss a day of training). Twice I fought a Marine that bragged about raping a girl in high school, we fought with entrenching tools(think highlander- there can be only one). Never once have I hit my kids. I may write a book about it one day.

Juniors at my school were attempting bottle flip when I walked into their class, I (who usually lost bottle flip challenges with my brother) told them that the technique they were using was wrong, showed them my way and made it perfect on the first try

Normally if you want to practice the heimlich maneuver, you can practice on a dummy or if you want to be prepared for the weight of trying to do the maneuver then you can put on a weighted vest

Not me but someone else I've had trouble breathing and problems with my lungs since I was a small child cigarette smoke just makes it worse pre-pandemic I was at six flags with my family there were these people smoking cigarettes just the smell of them made me have a coughing fit I asked them if they could please put their cigarettes out as I wasn't feeling well they just looked at me funny and continued to smoke their cigarettes as if I wasn't there this guy dressed as the grim reaper approached me and held my hand this was on Halloween by the way I explained to him about my breathing issues and how these people refuse to put out their cigarettes when I asked them to I directed him to the spot where they were as soon as they see this guy approaching not only do they drop their cigarettes but they take off running I've never been so grateful for this person in my life not only did he help me deal with some obnoxious assholes but he made it to where I could breathe some fresh air again I will be forever grateful to this person and also karma is a b**** edit to add for those of you who don't know before the pandemic every Halloween there would always be some characters walking around in costume and one of those characters is the grim reaper also this was a prohibited area to be smoking in and they were blocking our path

One time there was this boy it my gym class who kicked the ball all the way up to the ceiling boards (we were playing kickball) it almost got stuck but I literally dashed for it and caught it one handed. He was so mad cause he was out and everyone on my team and the other team were praising me so yeah. I’m a baddie 💅
