I remember in school Ojibwe Language an Studies. Was fun as hell. Even our teachers told us as long as we eager an willing to learn she didnt mind answering our questions for class an boy did we bombard her with all our curiosity that was the fastest 45 - 60min classrooms during school. An the last 10 minutes was school work an homework.

Thank you for sharing this; it resonates across the Pond. My class of 26 innercity first-graders here in The Netherlands consists of nine different cultural backgrounds (both national and religious). And even though the Dutch tend to see themselves as multi-cultural, this so often is mere lip service instead of an embrace. We still have much to learn.
