Beautiful climb. Thanks for the video. I liked how you didn't use any music, so we could hear the heavy breathing :D

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the central Andean peaks are highest mostly snow-free summits in the world, to go higher of course is central Asia, and I believe all of those would be mostly snow covered at 7000+ meters.

Excellent video detailing the crux section, thank you very much. I believe we would rate this class 3 with a small class 4 move past the final slab!

Thanks for that, I just managed a couple of pics from the summit. I forgot how steep the fixed rope climb was but that was the best part of the whole experience.

Congratulations, wonderful video. Which day of January did you summit ? I summited on the 10th from Argentinian side and saw some climbers going back down from chilean side when I arrived on the top. If you want, you can see my video in my list.

Do you need climbing skills to reach the summit? Or an experienced hiker could make it ?

You may find ropes from previous expeditions, but due to degradation because of the cold and UV rays, it's better to fix your own ropes the previous day, it's a tedious and dangerous task but there's been many more fatal accidents from people using old degraded fixed ropes that suddenly snapped, that from the process of fixing new ones

@@tealosophy you wouldn’t fix ropes on the summit the previous day... it’s literally ON the summit
