Actually these are independently drawn from the same distribution (aka your mmr range), so there might be easily be 5 idiots on your team and 0 on the other, depending on the amount of idiots in your skill bracket and whether you yourself are an idiot.

@@no3ironman11100 That depends on the amount of games you played. The more games, the more likely you are close to your real level. On the other hand a bad statistical draw with teammates in a series of games could easily drain 250-300 MMR. But you should indeed converge to your actual level.
