Ren also had this jacket on in Troubles, so don't think there was a message specific to this video. As noted elsewhere, Webby's dad is on 12 string. The player on lead is named in the credits. I don't know Webby's catalog, but I think he mostly raps. His fans comment on his versatility. Apparently he and Ren meshed - Webby says they will definitely work together more.

The opening shot added to the title tells you all you need with this. ‘Purgatory Pub’ and the ‘Baggage’ we all carry (Addiction/habit/racism etc). In Purgatory we all either come to terms with that baggage and let it go or we are still stuck. It’s also obviously a metaphor for life

YES, I was absolutely flabbergasted by how similar their voices are and I 100% stopped the video and re-watched the first bit iver and iver again to see if I could figure out if it was actually Ren singing lead. Finally decided it had to be Webby, lol, but I was NOT expecting that! Incredible that they have voices that can resemble each other, at leadt in the way *this* song was sung. And yeah, I'm enjoying it a lot, and am also really appreciating the video. Looking forward to checking more of Webby's stuff out & I'd definitely be down for seeing what they'd do with a second project. Sorry to hear you had part of your life eaten up by addiction... Hey Michael, as you say, lots going on. First time they've worked together, absolute banger! Took a few watches. I still don't think I've fully sussed it. Here's my likely flawed take. Purgatory pub, these folks are midway through death / near death experiences. Swastika man playing pool with the black fella, with a hanging KKK necklace. A few of the people are sort of paired off, perhaps killed, murdered together? New "near death' people enter, others leave, as if the decision on their life's been made. Lots of people staring at clocks/watches. Right at the end, in colour, you see Ren and Chris have had a major car crash, both in purgatory, only one survives.

During all that waiting, I did absolutely nothing of value to anyone. It always felt like things would be better once the wait was over, but the cycle just continued until I finally stopped waiting and took charge of my own destiny. 💜

Great reaction. They’re all in purgatory. The black and white scenes mean death or near death. Waiting to go either to heaven or hell according to some religions. Everyone in there has the scars of the way the died: for example the black guy from a gun shot to the chest, the white guy in the medical gown doesn’t have physical scars and might have died from a illness: but he was a nazi so that’s his baggage of how he lived his life and probably doing horrible things and hating others. The young man who comes in died of a drug overdose, one guy had his throat slashed, the black girl died of a slash to the head, and the white girl crying committed suicide: you can see both arms bandaged and blood dripping out of it. The bartender had a big gush in the back of his head. Ren was touch and go: he was in a car crush with Webby, both of them ended up in purgatory and were waiting for their fate. They were able to save Ren, that is why after he exited purgatory everything was in color: meaning back to life, back to earth. They weren’t able to save Webby and that is why he’s still sitting in purgatory in the black and white last scene after Ren left. What a great song and amazing video. With Ren we always have to pay attention to everything from lyrics to the video because it’s all part of the story. ❤

Love watching your Ren reactions - hopefully you’re aware of the current situation between Ren and Kujo, and why Ren’s album title track Sick Boi has been removed from all streaming channels and is no more. If not Ren explains all in a video - which is really worth watching, especially as it gives context to a new track he’s dropping this Thursday (5th) He’s lost Sick Boi forever which totally fucking sucks, however the reactor community is getting behind him and I know, as a supporter Ren’s music, you’d want the heads up that he’s getting it all off his chest in a diss track and will want to be in on the action. I think there are too many people use to just the music, or beat in rapping, and don't pay attention to the story? No accusations here just an observation of mine I have seen over MANY reaction videos for Ren, NF, Tom MacDonald, Dax, etc. These guys music goes over most reactors head. The video starts off showing you there all at "Purgatory Pub" [(in Roman Catholic doctrine) a place or state of suffering inhabited by the souls of sinners who are expiating their sins before going to heaven.] But what this definition doesn't tell you is why Purgatory is here in the first place? Because who said they all were going to heaven? That's an assumption. What happens to the ones that do not? He is showing people in pairs and "in real life" each pair were 180° opposite. The guy looking at the clock with the schwa sticker on back of his neck and the black guy "with a gun shot in his chest" that puts his hands on his shoulder and they end up playing a game of pool together. Something they would have not done in real life. Same with every other couple in this video and same with Chris and Ren too.
