Btw for anybody trying this build, you can do a little tech. Right after dash-striking (with your special or attack) you can immediately follow it up with your other move.

Yeah the stun was from a new vow of fangs buff, it is a bit broken because I was fighting a Lubber (barrel throwing guy) who had that perk and I stepped in the fire created by his barrel and I got stun-locked and died. For sure needs some tweaking

Ohhhh I was wondering! Got absolutely pounded last night on my 32 surface attempts and was wondering why i kept getting stunlocked. Honestly though even without fangs I do thing the ranged automatons are a bit overtuned. They pretty consistently do more damage to me than most bosses if I get caught in a bad situation

Flick Knives also feels really good when you have Hera or Demeter on the special

I really like the Mel aspects in hades 2, they are way better than the zag aspects in hades

Exactly mel aspects are usually only slightly lower than their others in their weapon class at best, and their differentiating factor is really just that they're a bit simpler which isn't necessarily a bad thing (while zag aspects imo were near unusable at high fear and were nowhere near the other aspects of their class except fists and the rail)

I think it’s because omega moves gave the devs a lot more options to think about what to give to mels aspects. I really like them Edit: Sprinting is not an omega move but it still requires the dash button to be held so… that Only now, i just wonder what the secret aspects will be

Ingenious Flourish DEFINITELY tipped this one over the edge. I think I'd prefer if the memory flame game was faster, too. I don't bother trying to remember committing the long one to memory because it takes so long and by the time it starts, I've already forgotten the first 2 or 3.

The new balancing for eris and prometheus feels really good to me. I have beaten them with every weapon (except skull because it is somehiw never chosen by the bonus) repeatedly. I do want to see the mythic aspects, cant really imagine what xinth would get, but I hope its something along: "while chanelling the omega special repeatedly fire mortars/rockets"

one hint on how to play with "trick knives" (the dash strike firing special one) is to: 1- you use your dash strike 2- you use your normal special 3- keep repeating it. I SEE THAT MOST PLAYERS DON'T GET IT, AND MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY FEEL TRICK KNIVES IS BAD trying to use only dash strike is more easy to break and start a normal attack combo, which will let you with a off time being unable to use trick knives, but in the meantime your dash strike 'is on cd', you can still use your special and in someway 'cancelling the animation' of attacks so you keep repeating dash strike into special, even with the 3 knives out in the air, the one on the special can be fired as another 4 special (it doesn't need you to wait for the knives of dash strike to return), so it really leads into a higher damage and safer way to play in resume, alternating into specials and dash strikes is better for a normal special build in that case, more consistent, and has a great damage output while making you stay far and safe from enemies. trick knives is not a bad hammer, it just make u want to play into a different way.

I had a run yesterday where I used trick knives, hera special, zeus blitz on the attack, and apollo cast to inflict daze for buku backstabs, it was so much damage. took like two or three dash strikes to phase chronos. I also go really lucky with boon rarity and poms.

I havent played the new minor patch after the olympian update, BUT I found out prometheus' flame does not hit you if you dash at the right timing. It might have been patched since but I haven't played many surface lately since I played way too many underworld path since the bird is so hard to come by. for some reason erebus fountain rooms hates me for around 20 runs. I just time and dash towards the flames and paid absolutely 0 mind to the simon says part. if I mistime it, yeah i take 150/75 but i usually have like 200-400 hp in surface runs for some reason

That was an almost 100% perfect build. Would have been completely perfect if he got the stuff to be heroic, but that's not even necessary. The stuff from icarus is really good, too.

Aphro Sweet Surrender is such an hd underrated boon. 20% global dmg is massive

Finding the perfect spot for Sweet Surrender can be challenging, as Cast and Magick are essential core boons. While a low-magick build can manage with The Unseen Arcana, most builds-especially those focused on Omega moves-would struggle with the magick shortage.

The first time I saw the bird was in Olympus, but after that I only ran into it in Erebus. Not sure what the trigger is but I do think that you can only *bond* the bird in Erebus, no matter where you first encounter it.

after encountering the bird once, you only meet the bird in erebus fountain rooms and you have to interact with them at least 2(3?) times before you can bond with the cookie
