As a SNSD hard stan since 2008, I can share with you, that this song is not to show people how good their choreo is, how great their vocal and rapping is. Not even wow how pretty they are. They have proven themselves over the past 15 years. They are the mother of all Kpop girl groups. Kpop development wouldn't be what it is today if not for them paving the way. What is there that they need to show? This is a birthday song, a celebration of their love for each other and their fans. That is all about it. And the true fans understand and love it so much. There is Kpop blah blah yawn. And then there is SNSD.

You just physically reacted how I reacted in my mind the 1st time I heard You Better Run, its an answer to their old title track called Run Devil Run and I wished they chose this as a comeback song to raise some eyebrows in their 15th year. The MV imagery we would get, the kwangya budget for their concept of Goddesses of Sound.. but Forever 1 is fine I guess..

Tbh despite being a SONE for over 10 years, I didn’t always like their Korean albums (their Japanese discography is better…for real) because there were always a few songs that I just wouldn’t download. This album is an exception though!! Definitely their best Korean album 🤩 I’ll definitely be replaying the album a lot more than ever

I watched quite a few forever 1 album reactions and I must say this is my favorite. It's fun to watch and it's actually helpful music-wise. I love each songs from the album and it helps listening to people who is more into music, point out specific parts that slap and it makes me love the songs even more! Also I think you'd appreciate it if you know that the bridge (when they were walking through the red carpet) from Forever 1 was taken from a sample of Into the new world, their first title track. And Paper plane is also a homage to literally the paper planes the fans throw in during their concerts. And Seventeen, written by Tiffany and Sooyoung, is about the last time they released a song which was on 2017. Then Villain, was not only written by Tiffany and Sooyoung but also PRODUCED by Tiffany. Sorry about the long narrative but these are just a few facts about the album. Thank you for this awesome review!

Welcome to the fold, we are SONE (pronounced so-won) which means wish. 2. I think you are right about SMs production skills, I personally feel that snsd brings the vocals and performing charisma to the table so I always find their live performances in concert to be captivating. Some albums to check out: Holiday night Taeyeons 3rd album INVU and her 2nd album Purpose (honestly all her stuff is amazing) Yuris album and title track Hyoyeons solo stuff Also their iconic mvs etc Check out the Japanese releases they are literally fire And I don’t know if you are interested in recommendations for other groups to check out but I highly recommend ONF (pronounced on-and-off) their albums and mvs are very well thought out and produced very well It’s a bit futuristic and sci-fi ( their mvs have a whole storyline that we fans don’t even fully understand but its never stopped us from stanning) They work closely with MONOTREE. Also their sister group is Oh My Girl who also have really good releases and b-sides Anyways that got long Thank you!

to me, the production in some parts of forever 1 reminds me of icona pop and i love it. This is also my first time listening to a GG's album and i'm suprised by how much i LOVED it. Also really enjoyed your video

If you didn't already know, members Tiffany and Sooyoung wrote Seventeen and Villain. The latter was also composed by Tiffany. I really really love this album, but not sure if it's my favourite or 2nd fave bcs I really really love their last album Holiday Night (Lion Heart is 3rd) as well. It has ballad songs as well which are one of my favourites (if they are well produced with amazing vocals which is always the case with Soshi ballads) bcs I love crying lmao. Tho Forever 1 alone made me bawl even tho it isn't even a ballad song lool... Anyyway.. it's difficult to choose a fave song from Forever1. Definitely my least fave - just bcs it's not very melodic - is You Better Run. I probably like Villain, Paper Plane, Seventeen and Closer the most, dk

Have you listened to snsd's junior, Red velvet albums, they are called the queen of b sides, one of their best albums is "The Perfect Red Velvet" if you haven't listened to it I highly recommend it
