This is one of my favorite places to take visiting overseas friends. It’s one of the oldest tourist-oriented hospitality districts in Japan, with a 1000-year history of hosting and entertaining travelers on their way to Ise Grand Shrine. If you’re coming to the area, I highly recommend spending a day here!
