I love this episode so much, I remember when my dad died the "mourners" were people who either hadn't spoken to him in 20+ years or who I had never met and every single one of them would come up to me and talk about him like they were his best friend and I was just standing there like who even are you? I too was expecting to be freaked out by the blob. But its storyline was kinda horrifying. They were supposed to use the kit to make the blob it's own entity first, but they kinda skipped the whole personality part and brought it to life by accident, then tried to force a whole new personality onto it after it came into life as itself.

Turns out, Stain Edwards did kill the real duck, because, if you pay attention to the ground when the duck dies, there are maggots on the ground. And in the scenes with the coffin and the duck, there were maggots in the coffin. Most of the episodes are episodic, so I don't think Duck is dead forever...
