Okefenokee Swamp - Stephen Foster to Floyd's Island

awesome!...I need to make it back up to the Okefenokee I was there for a schedulded 3 day adventure but I got sick and had to cut the trip short..love that place!

I love the Okefenokee, it's the most peaceful place on earth. We canoed to Billy's Island last year. We're hoping to camp on Mixon's Hammock this fall. We haven't been to Floyd's Island yet but we will one day. I think Steven Foster State Park is the best entrance. When we had to sign in so we could go into the swamp, the lady said we had the be out of the swamp and signed out by 8:00. When I asked what happens if we didn't get signed out by 8:00 she said it was her problem...she said I get off a 6:00😂
