Hello..may i know how to get good printing on dark paper?..like a photos or a vector graphics..i try to print on dark paper but it turns out that have a white layer on top of the colors..can i print white on below of the colors?

Hi, what imaging software gives the best output and smoothest edges, I don't have photoshop and I am struggling to get a smooth image without jaggies. Thanks.

This is a loaded question, so I will try my best. If you are designing clip art, line art or vector art designs, then I would recommend Corel Draw. If you are working with bitmap designs, then you really need to get Adobe Photoshop. It is the best program for working with bitmap designs. Both Condé and OKI have developed an easy procedure for eliminating the white background from a bitmap design with Adobe Photoshop.

I looked at the printer and I only saw 4 colors: CMY and white. There was no K (black). How does the printer print black if there is no black toner?

+Gary Thorpe The printer uses "process black", which is arranging Cyan, Magenta and Yellow pixels in a pattern that represents "black" to the naked eye.

OK, so it is not a TRUE black. Not sure how one can mix blue, red and yellow and get something that is supposed to be black but I've seen pictures of it and yes, it does "look" black. I hope the next generation of these printers adds black toner.

Does the RIP only work with pdf files?

+Gary Thorpe While the FOREVER Transfer RIP with work with most bitmap formats, we recommend using a PDF file as your "working file" for the RIP. It is designed to read the exterior of your PDF graphic and automatically remove any white area around the graphic. If you decide to use a bitmap format, we recommend that you use a "transparent background" to your bitmap before loading your graphic to the FOREVER Transfer RIP.
