When I went hunting for interesting covers of Dance Hall Days, I didn’t expect this masterpiece. I associate Okkervil River with intense, introspective ensemble pieces, and did they ever bring that unexpected - but absolutely appropriate - energy to what has just become one of my favorite covers. Incomparable.

Excellent cover... however the bass is lacking power.... it should go down like the original...
