Not every child is Christian! Some are Jewish - like my family, for example. A public school needs to be secular. Freedom of religion is a right for all Americans. Religious studies should be after school or on the weekends. Home and church, home and synagogue, home and mosque. I'd start with all the uncomfortable things the Bible teaches. Like the fact God condones slavery and genocide : that would be a great one to teach in history class. I'd teach how the Bible gets the creation story in the wrong order in science class. I'd preach the story of how God answered a curse from Elisha and 2 bears came down and mauled 42 kids to death because they were calling him names. I'm sure the christo-fascist parents that are cool with the Bible stories could learn a thing or two from little Johnnie's classroom sermon lesson if he takes notes and brings them home to Ma and Pa.

It's disturbing that the people responsible for educating our children can't read, understand, or adhere to the laws of our nation. There are a lot of stories in the Bible that are not appropriate for children. Stories of rape, incest, prostitution, genocide, murder and mayhem. Have the people making these laws actually read the Bible? Probably not, they didn't read the Constitution either. Can they read at all? If they want their children exposed to the Bible, parents are responsible for the children's religious education, not the state. Let the parents keep the Bibles in their homes, let the parents have responsibility for their own children's religious education, it is none of the government's business. The state does not have the right to ostracize children for being of different faith. If you teach one religion in the schools, you must teach all religions in the schools. This is why we do not teach religion in school, it is the parent's responsibility. The government does not have the right to mandate our beliefs, or the beliefs of our children. They have greatly overstepped their authority.

God warns about doing evil, about sin, hate, about stealing, killing, adultery and immorality. You think what they're doing is a good thing because they told you so. What they do not tell you is how they spread their religion across the world. You should do a bit of research on that... but if you are a Catholic, they have forbidden you from doing so. They don't want you to know, makes them look bad. They were terrorists. I see them as charlatans, corrupting the Divine teaching to promote their own agenda and manipulate the population to do as they wish. Not everyone is a Christian "sheep." You have the right to teach your children all the lies you wish, but you don't have the right to impose your beliefs on others, or upon their children. The Bible does not belong in the public school system, and Christian beliefs are not the beliefs I want my people to embrace. "God" isn't so mighty if he/she needs a book or a middleman to communicate with you, and you are not very intelligent if you believe that only people who read the same book you do can connect with the Divine. The Divine will teach your children right from wrong directly if you teach your children where to find that guidance, and it isn't in any book. it is in their own hearts. That book is only there to confuse you, get you in your head about your relationship with God, and distract you from your own heart and your own Divine guidance so that you will donate time, money and energy to people who want to filter and distort that information to you to profit themselves. That book is intended to corrupt and confuse your personal relationship with the Divine so that the people who compiled it can profit from you and control you. It is not a good read for spiritual people.
