As a vol fan, I thought it was cool hearing OKLAHOMA's coach talk about Josh Hueple like that. Win or lose, I wish the best for Brent and Oklahoma. This is going to be the hardest game we have faced all this season. Oklahoma is 40 times better than any team we have faced thus season. OU's defense is elite, and their QB can make you pay with his arm and legs. Smdh.

Defense looks pretty good too, ours definitely isn’t elite, but it’s far better than our past ones. Regardless, you’ll score over 30 in my prediction. Im a Vol fan and we ain't blowing OU's doors off. At all. We haven't faced any decent team yet. OU is 40 times better than any team we have played. OU jumped out on Tulane by like 24 points, and Tulane is a decent team man. I just hope we show up with our A-game and play to our best ability.

I'm a die hard vols fan but my husband and son are huge OU fans. 2 summers ago we took my son to the brent ventables summer football camp and he actually spoke dorectly to my son and it meant everything to him. Brent is an excellent defensive coach and has won several National Championships as such. You can tell he knows whats coming and will have his guys ready to compete. He hasnt seen anything similar to this since maybe when he was at Clemson in 2019 against LSU. Obviously, that was an end of the year game, with end of year polish on the teams, this is game 4 with game 4 polish. But very similar in match-up discrepancies he faced then. I love Brent as a coach, but Heuple is very good as well. I can see this being a great game for a half, but then Tennessee putting on more steam and pulling away in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Go Oklahoma, big fan since the 70’s seen the best of years and the worst of years with Oklahoma. This game is going to be a barn burner. It’s tough to say who is going to win at this point. The media simply put doesn’t like Oklahoma. I’ve been around watched college football since the 70’s and I know I can tell you the media doesn’t like Oklahoma and it shows. This game if it’s close either way when it’s final, Oklahoma will gain a lot of respect, if Oklahoma folds and gets beat bad then the media will be all over my Sooners. If Oklahoma wins, we won’t hear a sound. Except we got lucky even if we win by 20. They will the media will do nothing but make excuses for the Tennessee volunteers well anyway that’s my two cents on this thing and good luck to Tennessee and Josh but you will get a fight in Oklahoma. They will not go down easy..

@davidwills5600 You are correct. Even watching SEC media, Oklahoma gets very little attention, imo. Even though throughout our tenure in the Big 12 when we were consistently winning championships and beating Texas, even last year in their many "We're back" seasons. I'm not sure why we don't get much recognition on the nation stage. I'm sure it has everything to do with money but I've watched what you are saying David, even in SEC based programming, we are not covered as much as Texas. It's strange the way the media nationally does this, except when we have a player who wins Heisman or if we make the 4 team championship, where they have to cover us. We'll get some coverage this week because of opponent.

To the Vols fans, you need to understand completely and unequivocally Josh Huepel is OUrs, he’s just temporarily loaned out to Tennessee. He is OUr red dirt unfortunate son, OUr prodical son, Sooner born and Sooner bred and Sooner or later he’ll come home. Make no doubt about it, it’s an itch he has to scratch, a box he has to check. He was born and raised in South Dakota, not Oklahoma. He was also done dirty by his Alma Mater and left to roam the wilderness for year’s rebuilding himself. Tennessee took the chance on him, turned the keys over to him, and has given him everything to be successful. The only scratch he wants to itch is to win Tennessee a National Championship. Go watch the interviews, he says it all the time there’s no place better and he follows that up with “I really mean that”. He isn’t going anywhere.

As an OU fan of 24 years Oklahoma has not shown me anything that tells me this year will be any different than the season after Lincoln Riley left. The offensive line gets pushed around by group of five teams and a bottom half big 12 team. They will not protect Jackson Arnold well and they have shown they cannot run block and create lanes. From three games I have only seen 2 good balanced drives. Oklahoma has shown they cannot convert on 3rd down and struggles in the redzone. Jackson Arnold truly looks like a first year QB and it is obvious that last year he did not have the mindset to learn and get ready to take over the program. Arnold has consistently missed open receivers, and you can see the mistrust between him and the receivers out on the field. The receivers are not on the same page as Jackson Arnold and are playing very timid. Gavin Sawchuk is a shell of what he was last year, and Tatum is a good elusive runner, but he is a liability in the pass blocking game. The defense has shown flashes of a top 5 defense but overall cannot get to the quarterback and struggle defending anything to the outside. I think as OU fans all we can hope for is that we get 3 more wins this season. It will be a long time before OU is even in the top half of the SEC. After this year we are going to lose a lot of good, impactful players to the NFL.
