Only thing you are forgetting is that our o-line practices against our front 7 which should be pretty elite and to practice against that day in and day out will only make the o-line better and prepared for any defense

@@royeffinger4554he could be in he fact that he evaluates players a little differently than just how many stars they have. He has put several players in the NFL that were 3 and 4 stars. So he evaluated them. Thought that they were exactly what he wanted, coached them, and got them drafted. Is that bad recruiting?

I can’t wait to see if we get anyone to play anything other than max protect gonna be nice to watch OUr defense feast on overconfidence by SEC teams. The crazy thing that almost no one talks about the schedule is that other than South Carolina every team gets either a bye or fcs/vandy the week before they play OU. But hey that’s why OU joined is to play and beat the best. Excited for this season Boomer Sooner

OU won't be Texas 😂 I love when outsiders speak who claim to be "experts" and they just end up exposing themselves as not being experts. OU beat Texas last year but won't beat them this year even tho Texas had a better team last year than this year and OU has a better team this year than last year. I wonder if the "experts" actually think about what they say before they say it or just parrot what the national media propaganda says because its easy and too much work to do some serious homework and evaluation without being under the propaganda spell of bias. #Lazy #Sloppy #KeepSleepin

I don't understand the hype about Texas. OU beats Texas last year and I know that's last year but the media claims that Texas is ready for the SEC but OU isn't that's a crazy take to have. Georgia just got good so let's stop with the narrative that OU is just going to get smacked from week to week that isn't going to happen. OU will be in every game they play and will have a chance to win every game.

If and big if the oline protect the QB then OU is Threat the running game maybe overlooked game breaker RB their whole season rest in the oline if Coach B can produce a starting line the team is the most underrated team in the country the defense will have to play it's part the heat is on CoachB

Pretty good analysis for the most part, but I will add that most people who follow the Oklahoma program closely (even those who tend not to get too optimistic) think the OL will be fine with a chance to be better than last year’s group. In addition to the excellent transfer center you guys mentioned, Oklahoma brought in two really good transfer guards. One of them (Hatchett) started three games for Washington’s Joe Moore winning OL. The other was a freshman AA at UNT two years ago (he was a little banged up last year). He was in for spring, and the staff love him and seem to think he will be an NFL guy. There are also several blue chip young guys. Overall, the IOL looks improved year over year. Tackle could take a step back but probably not as much as one would think. Guyton (1st round pick) did not play in quite a few games last year, and returner Jacob Sexton started several in his place/over him and outplayed him at times. He is seen as the likely next early round tackle prospect. The main candidates for the other tackle spot are a guy who started multiple years at Florida then USC (Michael Tarquin), another guy who started at Michigan State (Brown), and then a former blue chip guy who chose OU over Bama and has severe years in the program, including some solid playing time (Jake Taylor). That’s some good ingredients for one of the best OL coaches in the country to work with, and OU benefits from having easier games to start the year.

Arnold is far more mobile down the field than Baker. I don’t think there will be a better or more loved OU quarterback than baker mayfield. That dude was clutch in every moment you needed him. I do think Arnold has a better build, more speed and a cannon arm. He reminds me of a more mobile Sam Bradford, tbh

sorry, I just can’t take y’all seriously when you think OU will have seven wins and Texas will coast when we totally dominated Texas for the last 50 years. Remind me who won the red River rivalry last year. Yes the sec champ lost to the big 12 champ but that is not a reason to discount the entire season. Texas defense will be swiss cheese and OUs is probably the second best in the conference.

@@Messenger1.0 Not yet but i will be later. Last 6 games of the season ou defense gave up 38, 27, 20, 24, 45 and 38. That breaks down to 32 PPG. If you go by last 8 games for sooner D it drops to 31 PPG given up. LSU gave up 28 PPG on the season.

​@@FredPitre-o4b Georgia is elite. Bama's elite status is in question now that Saban's gone. LSU is occasionally dangerous. Every other legacy SEC team is shit to average. Who is a legit challenge to OU outside of the teams I already named? Arkie? Ole Miss? Auburn? Tennessee? Florida? Not really. South Carolina is a certainly not, right up there with Vandy... Mizzou and aTm were both OU's bitch in the big 12. that is unlikely to change. Sorry, but most of the SEC is shit to average. I'm not saying we'll win every game, every year, but I see no reason why we aren't going to remain a 1-2 loss team, year in and year out, barring unforeseen anomalies like our head coach bolting for another school and gutting our roster in the process or our starting qb transferring out before a bowl game because he knew the guy behind him was about to take his job. The SEC fans are the most delusional on the planet, but their incessant self-gratification has had the desired effect in that it somehow made the sports media believe the bullshit hype.

This century you get to BCS of playoffs only to be WHACKED by the SEC. Same conference you just joined. You will face MORE top 10 regular season teams (4) year 1 in the SEC than you did last 6 (2) in the xii. Good luck with that. All but TWO in xii was shit to avg. Make that 1. texass aint nothing special yet. Auburn and TN have just as many titles since BCS started as ou. Gators have MORE. joey freshwater got the weebels at level not seen in 60+ years. I wonder why everyone thinks Texas will have a smooth transition but OU won't. Texas is younger than OU, especially on defense. OU beat Texas last year and only lost one more game.

Interior OL is elite, specially with branson hickman in the center. Also OU leads SEC in career OL starts- cuz theyre transfers. The tackles are the question mark but the talent is there just needs to be polished, 3 OTs are 6 6” +320lbs…their gonna be much better in the run game this year and maybe the best interior OL since creed humphrey….we watched bill bedenbaugh turn TE guyton into a first round pick OT so im not worried about the tackles either- the talent is there
