Gundy is looking for people that will stay. Guys that have OSU ties that are past that initial upswing in their career that has them using everyone to progress their career. He knows anyone else is going to use him as a stepping stone.

Keep Mike on the farm. Let the Coordinators run the program. Better yet, hire someone with no connection to Oklahoma State for head coach. The Cowboys Way is dead. No Boone, NIL and the Portal killed it. Mike is lost in the early 2000s.
