Exactly what I was thinking (recall the note about our old P&H crane) high pressure build up blew our filters out. Mechanic switched out to spin on filters and sealed off two lines. (I Probably should have went into depth on my comment) glad you got it figured out. The original design of the motor was flawless change out one part it affects others down stream.

@@CruisingThisOldBoatthose old engines though were built to last. They will still be chugging around when these new computerized engines are in the scrap metal pile. You may even start getting better economy / MPG out it now as well.

@@RLoose9494 - I agree. I looked at maybe buying a new engine instead of rebuilding ours but all the new ones are highly computerized with plenty of possible failure points. So I opted for the rebuild. Unfortunately, I did not get a decrease in fuel consumption but at 1.7 gph I can’t complain much. 😉

Where did you buy your injectors at Ron? I'm going to buy all 12 and replace, I notice some come without seal kit, I watched your vid how to replace and ordered that wrench so far...I don't see them at American diesel parts lists

All the injectors say Ford New Holland.......must be same as a Lehman?

@@doncritzer2798 - American Diesel does not sell them - I found one online but it was the wrong diameter so I had it tooled down to work - the only place we have found them reliably is overseas but import duties make them pretty expensive - if you want to try that route, I can get some contact info for you

@CruisingThisOldBoat reliable tractor parts, DB electric, and ebay all sell them 59 bucks apiece....DB electric sells seal kit separately and over priced. I've bought from reliable tractor parts before they sell stuff cheep

Damper.......I had to adjust port engine when i 1st got boat 6 years ago and that was last time, it does that pulse reving uneven rpm's especially at idle.....damper smooths it out steady rpm

I got fuel coming out exhaust or oil, need to find a Lehman mechanic. Probably worn out rubber in the head, dont think its head gasket. Drove it from Detroit never burnt a drop of oil now its using oil

And I have to leave mooring field, 3 month limit, I want to get on the hard and paint it etc

Excessive fuel in the exhaust can be caused by an injector stuck open. Find a local diesel injector shop to test/rebuild them.
