I have never heard such talented and perfect ensemble singing as this. Every one of these women are classically trained at the highest level. (And this just happens to be my favorite R&H song to boot). Wonderful!

This was going through my head today. i had no idea where it came from or who sang it. I didn't know it was a whole ensemble. Beautiful

0:12 I’m singing this part in my school musical, and was literally having a mental breakdown because I thought it was higher than it actually is. I have never been more relieved that something is in my range 😭😭

Laurey is one of my dream roles, but she's a soprano and I'm an alto.😭😭
@purplebec911210 ай бұрын
Try it. I know I did. I was an alto now I'm a soprano. So you can too. I suggest some songs that can help you. Believe it or not, opera actually helped. Try singing some mezzo-soprano songs, my favorite personally the Italian opera of Cinderella. Carousel helped to hit those high notes, and so did the Music Man. Just keep practicing. You have to open up your throat to hit these high notes. AND, just try singing The Magic Flute, which definitely helped me singing high notes.

omg i had a school play and i wanted to audition and the day of my audition i froze and i couldn’t speak or sing. on of the most embarrassing things ever
@Squid0naChair Жыл бұрын
That happened to me at a college theatre audition recently, except I froze because I literally forgot both of my monologues and music pieces the moment I got into the room and I had to stumble through singing when I could barely remember the words 😭 Don’t beat yourself up too much about it, though! Whether or not you’ve auditioned for anything since then, you can look back at your embarrassing auditions and have a little laugh :)

Marcel Audubon i think they went for different casting but didn’t really pay of IMO. And this is the original London Cast. That cast opened in the 1940s. This a London revival cast.
@lulamidgeable5 жыл бұрын
@@chocolatesouljah The casting paid off big time when she danced and she's competent enough as an actress. She works very well with Jackman in this production, I assume that's why she was chosen. There can't be that many actresses to choose from for Oklahoma who can sing with this range, dance to THIS very high standard and act.
@bigred84324 жыл бұрын
NONSENSE there are hundreds of actors to choose from with the singing and acting range. She’s more than a competent actress, her dancing is extraordinary and her singing is mediocre - they chose her because they felt she could best convey the story
