Avatar Meher Baba In Sakori. September 1954

On September 20th, 1954, Meher Baba took his 20 western guests and members of His Mandali to Sakori, to show them the Ashram of Upasni Maharaj and to meet Godavari Mai, the Kanyas and others. This event was captured with 16mm film by Lud Dimpfl and with still photographs by Panday, Darwin Shaw, and others. The following day Baba told the men the history of Himself, Upasni Maharaj and Sakori. This 22 minute film chronicles those moments upon a musical backdrop.
This film was produced at Meherabad in fulfillment of Meher Baba's directive in the Trust Deed to produce films on the life of Avatar Meher Baba

Where as this is a great idea and I admire the efforts and love put into this, I cannot watch it again. The manipulation of Babas written words started a long time ago, I have heard so many misquotes over the years, now this is a continuation of the manipulation of His physical image. It disturbs me as we continue this. Where will it end? There is a line between restoration and recreation

To anyone who may be reading this comment. all images of Avatar Meher Baba in this video are from the original scans of his footage, no images have been 'recreated' . The scans were worked on to remove excessive grain from the scans, and black and white images were colorized.
