After watching Joan’s recent documentary show…which I absolutely loved, and seeing her and her husband here…you can tell how much in love they still are and so respectful of each other. Yes, I saw that. She’s a very interesting combination of a traditional and classic English lady, a transatlantic glamour queen and an assertive, hard working feminist. She’s honest about her few huge successes and her many failures or forgotten films. Percy clearly keeps her young but while she’s happy to talk about the past, and very wittily so, she’s not nostalgic or regretful, she lives for right now and tomorrow.

I can really relate to what they are saying. I’ve been with my husband for 23years next year and married for 5. Being friends first and having a laugh everyday is our secret to our longevity.
