Lots of new players. I want to be more helpful but they’re really sapping my spirit to play. The new players leave everything unlocked, turn off the objectives, new leatherfaces walk around with a silent chainsaw.. just painful to deal with

It's not just you. Hitting people with Johnny is quite difficult now. But a bunch of people still think he's one of the best family members even though he's got all kinds of swinging bugs.

Johnny's definitely had some stealth nerf but hidden as a buff. He feels like he chains the swings together better, but they're only hitting when directly behind the victim. If slightly to the side, they miss. If you used Serrated instead of Big Swings, you'd be hitting at 27 points instead of 26. Plus, with 50 stamina you could swing 20 times on a full bar. I generally only use Big Swings just to push 50 savagery over the top. That stamina cost is heavy, so it needs to be worth it. I'd always rather get a few powerful attacks in, then many less powerful hits.

I do think that with the most recent update to the game, Johnny became much more dangerous, especially if you're caught in open areas. Since he's able to use his running lunge without ever stopping, I use him without scout and manage to land most of my hits without an issue. It could be that using scout makes you go waaay faster than you need to when attacking that you end up clipping through the victim's hitbox. Also, you did feed grandpa your 86 blood in family house, I noticed your blood vial was empty when you were in the basement :D Great games Middi!

I find that using Fired Up is enough to manage stamina on any character, and allows me to put all of my extra attribute points in Savagery and/or Blood Harvesting.

Take big swings off put serrated scout fired up max savagery it’s the best build not the strongest build you can make but it’s the best one. I know you’re just making builds for vids but try it if you haven’t already much love.

Can’t believe they’re nerfing scout, it’s like they don’t want anyone playing family at all. Trying to catch up with victims is hard work as it is at times with gap spam and grapple counters etc they have. I main Johnny and he needs scout to feel somewhat useful. His attacks definitely are inconsistent, I feel you need to swing in a rhythm for his attacks to work. Rush meta is killing the game and this map is too big. I don’t play anymore since the Virginia update, victims are far too offensive now with little counter so will just watch you instead 👌 Sorry for the rant 😂

After Johnny's buff for his lunge, I started running easily tuckered out, scout, and serrated with max 45 endurance and 35 savagery. He still does plenty of dmg, plus the bleed from serrated, and the main reason I love the buld is because he can swing 20 times in a row before having to stop and regen stamina.

Johnny’s hit box is def wonky I think…I also watch Evan’s Tacos, and he uploaded a Johnny vid today, and there were a lot of weird laggy hit boxes he was dealing with.

It’s not a bug, they buffed him. He no longer slows down when he swings and maintains his speed. This is kinda how he used to be before they nerfed him so people aren’t used to him being so fast when he’s attacking anymore so his speed throws them off. You kinda have to angle his swings a bit or you’ll just end up missing

When it says melee attack frequency I believe it means how many times you are able to attack, not how fast you are able to attack.

Don't get the feral on leatherface joke, put points on savegery to 43 let feral take it to 50 and the extra points can go to blood harvesting, like I'm tired of meta scout Bubba, I've run feral/big swing/universal donor and it's quite fun

Endurance for the stamina and more attacks seems to be the way to use Johnny properly. The other build does have more damage with serration, but if you keep getting the bug from not being able to hit the victim, having that extra stamina can help.

Never recommend builds really but… on Nancy run, poison claws, pins and needles and fire up, but all points into savagery that gets you to 49, hit like a truck and you get your stamina back quick, really fun build

What do you guys think about Johnny having more utility like traps or alarms? I love how he's great in chase, but I feel like the footprint tracking is pretty inconsistent. If they made him move slower or do less damage per hit for having the ability to not get stunned nearly as long as other characters, it might make him more balanced.

I'm only like 3 minutes into the video but I think the problem is Johnny is too fast, since victims no longer run choose flight, they run out of stamina quicker, meaning they walk mid chase more often and cus Johnny is too fast, he ends up spinning and missing targets way more often. The speed difference combined with how weak the lock on is is making him whiff more than he should
