I had earlier warned about the APC's plan to rig the Edo election, but more so, I am ashamed that this quantum rigging occurred under the leadership of a pro democracy president. What transpired on Saturday can best be described as horrible, this is the worst off cycle election in Nigeria's history
Chief Emmanuel Odigie, PDP Chieftain

Cry Thy Beloved Country. The Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s during his last interaction with the press in Warrii had said words to the effect that the generation alive as at the time of that interview will not see democracy in Nigeria, and that the best they can hope to see is civil rule and that that situation will not change for as long as the country remained the same as it was at that time. His position has continued to be vindicated.

When he says ‘mentor,’ he is not referring to the present. Tinubu was a mentor to many people back in the days before he became the governor of Lagos State, when he joined the NADECO movement to fight against military dictatorship. However, at that time, nobody knew his true nature, which later revealed him to be one of the most evil and greedy dictators in Nigeria.

I think people are misunderstanding Prince Odigie when he refers to Bola Tinubu as his mentor. When he says mentor, he is not referring to the present. Tinubu was a mentor to many people back in the days before he became the governor of Lagos State, when he joined the NADECO movement to fight against military dictatorship. However, at that time, no one knew his true nature, which later revealed himself to be one of the most evil and greedy dictators in Nigeria.

I was quite surprised that last interview where he praised Tinubu to high heavens. What didn't now surprise me was the 'state capture' resource -wasting (s)election of last Saturday. Perhaps, we can have a better insight if you read the recent writeup of Dele Momodu on the charade. If this rubbish is allowed to pass, then farewell to the Nigerian nation.

Did you not hear Tinubu making a promise to APC during his last visit to Edo State? I quote: "As President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I will deliver Edo State to you." Was I the only one who heard him? You people should be playing. Democracy my foot!

Cry no more! What goes around, comes around! The Prince Odigies of this world held Tinubu as a Democrat regardless of the criminal irregularities and blatant violent disenfranchisement he incited against Nigerians of a certain ethnic extraction and his fellow Yorubas who did not support him, in the last election. Then it seemed a welcomed outcome that Peter Obi and his Igbo ethnicity were "taught a lesson." Today, that pattern has taken hold in Nigeria. Tinubu, who Prince Odigie regarded as his political mentor, became the president of Nigeria despite all his deficiencies, crooked ways, and filthy baggage. All it takes for any kind of person to ascend the position of "leadership" in Nigeria is a deep pocket to buy law enforcement officers, the INEC, voters, and the ability and capacity to deploy violence. Edo State got its own share of the rot that the we advertently supported and accepted. The day just break...ooo

Most times our people no wise. 2014/15, when we were screaming not to let these APC thugs through the door, that there was nothing good seen amongst them, not by individual or collective precedence, not even by the experience our older folks witnessed in 1983-85. Una no gree hear. Well, the entire nation has been captured, anything goes and would continue to go.
