Day one of London's lockdown, were we are allowed to go out once a day for exercise and keep distance of two metres from others. I woke up today and made my kids breakfast, cleaned and hoovered my living room sofa, worked at home from 10 to 2 pm, and at 3 I took the kids for a scooter ride and walk up the hill nearby. It all feels so surreal, suddenly our routines have changed, schools stopped, working from home and soon work will stop too. It is so hard when I walk on the streets and parks and see peoples worrisome faces, I feel their pain and anxieties yet as humans we cannot be locked up in a house and disconnected from each other. I take it a day at a time, I am slowly adapting to a whole new way of life. My body is aching to lift weights, I miss my routine but this is for the best interest of everyone as humans. I am hopeful that this too will pass and will soon be a distant memory but I hope that we also learn a lot from it.
