Yea, it was a great clip before KZbin made me mute the audio or replace with something not copyrighted. Madonna filed a copyright complaint. I say boycott her, or certainly not pay for any of her music cds

This is beautiful. Oksana brings a depth of emotion that completes the performance. Oksana isn't afraid to laugh or cry. I think Sergei would tell her that her performance was beautiful, but to get on up and shake her tailfeathers!! And Oksana would!! Love her!!

Yeah... I knew this wasn't the right music that she performed to. I could tell by watching her and listening. I'm not trying to say anything bad about the person that put this video together. You did a great job. I'm trying to say how GREAT she was at moving with the music. That fact alone made me remember that this is not the same music that this performance was done to. I love her so much..... She was truly amazing!!! So artistic. ❣️❤️💕

I still love her.... I don't care what anyone says about her bad press over the years, the fact remains that she is an incredibly beautiful person who has endured great personal loss & tragedy in her life...and triumphed anyway. She has a very compassionate heart...& a grace about her that I never tire of watching whenever I feel like seeing some beautiful skating. She's still the lil orphan girl who won the gold, & stole everyone's heart in the '94 Olympics. I can't watch this with dry eyes...

All the skaters were hard hit by Sergei's death. What a sad but moving tribute. I don't know how she could skate while grieving. I hive her credit.

This is a heartbreaking routine. She's clearly so much in grief it's a wonder she can do anything at all:( Every time I see her crying, I break out in tears too. RIP Sergei:(

The most beautifully tragic love story ever. I miss G&G ALWAYS & FOREVER. Rest easy Dear Sergei. You will never know how your death saddened the world. I know your waiting at Heavens gates waiting for Katia, holding her skates, so you can skate on forever. 💙

So earlier in her life she had to know what is the pain of loss. It cannot be more emotional distress than also had to lose her friend Sergei. She had to mature beyond her years, I just love her way of showing her art and love thru her skating is really moving.

Absolute heaven, and your music is just perfect for the feeling of this performance. It was one of the most wrenching episodes in ice skating history, and no one who followed Sergei and Ekaterina could help weeping at these memorial performances. Oksana's was beautiful and heartbreaking. Thanks for adding your own personal musical touch to this lovely performance.

So sad, so beautiful... Some simply feel things more deeply. I think Oksana is probably empathic.

OMG! I haven't seen this before. I'm in tears. It was a beautiful performance by Oksana. R. I. P. Sergei! They were one of the best pair skaters with Ekaterina in the whole world (if not the best).

This is actually quite a fitting piece of music with her performance - it could not be more beautiful, simply watching her lovely form and her sincere emotion in these moments. Heartbreaking.

This was the performance that got me into watching skating., never really watched it before. I saw this while channel surfing and she caught my eye with er beauty. Then I noticed her face then turned up the tv and heard what and why this was happening. This has to be the most emotional performance or event in sports history. If you heard the crowd and annoucers (Thx Madonna) it would be a lot more emotional to watch than it already is believe it or not. Simply Amazing. Now I watch skating.

People may wonder why Oksana was SO emotional. It was not just Sergei but it seemed like a lot of skaters were being attacked but so were actors. In this case Bobby Darin. Bobby composed, "If I was a carpenter" and people were jeering him as he sung and he did not understand. Sandra Dee was told he died and could not find the body said to be given to science SO death is a BIG THING AND IT CARRIES A LOT OF BAGGAGE. Oksana was in town, not as Brenda Lee, nor Laura Holden (Walking Dead) but to compose ABBA songs. 1 song was "Wrap your arms around me" a tribute to Bobby Darin as sung by Sandra Dee under Agnethea. Death touches people differently but Oksana can not deal with death nor can Sandra Dee

The only problem I have with this is that she used this program in a competition. This was for Sergei’s Celebration of a Life by the cast of Stars On Ice which Sergei and Katia were a part of when he died. They performed it 3 months after his funeral I believe. It was a very special night. So I’m curious to know what made her so emotional here at this time.

Myra Lawson Actually I think this competition took place very soon after Sergei’s death. At the Celebration of Life show she skated to Ave Maria

When he was alive , he was very aloof around these female skaters....only close with his wife and child. I heard her in an interview in a bar where she was talking in a similar way as the German Olympic skater Katerina W......very condescending and catty about males, admiring her beauty and talent. You have to have a certain hardness , callousness, toughness to get that far to the top.....and great acting skills on Ice . Harding could only jump ...lacked everything else...BTW... A lot of them come from rough situations. Nancy Kerrigan's brother attacked their 70 year old father and the father died in the attack. Her brother went to prison for it . The saying "What doesn't destroy you , makes you stronger"...is very true with a lot of these skaters. Don't let the tears fool you...When they reach Olympic level of skating....they are as tough as nails and to be commended for everything they went through and survived to get there.

Someone had made a tribute to Sergei and Ekatarina with Josh Groban's song "To Where You Are" and that got removed also. Along with a Christopher Reeve tribute with Eva Cassidy's rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"! Such a shame.

You should have went with some tragic Russian classical music - there is so much of it rather than the New Age junk you chose. Shostakovich would have been a No Brainer.
@iriswigle10 жыл бұрын
Oksana had a cousin by the name of Tonya Harding. Tonya became anorexic and suicidal and Ok told her to go out and skate under the Oksana name and she did & won the gold medal. It just happened that way. Later, Tonya would commit suicide even though Ok said, "I don't need to skate under Oksana...you skate under this name." Everytime I watch, I think of Tonya who was innocent and the reporter who did his best to destroy Tonya's career. I believe in Jesus, I believe in the future and I want to be there to say to Tonya, "You won.!" May the reporters go to hell!
