I just got the zoom H4n pro handy recorder I had looked at the pod track P4 as well but liked the compact size and features of the H4n a little more and I could not be hppier with it, It is literally is a mini multi 4 track recorder that is the size of my cell phone with built in amps and effects for guitars , bass, and vocals. Zoom really does make some great recording gear for sure these days! Keep rocking Ola!

I synced a zoom r24 and a zoom r16 which gives me a total of 16 tracks that I can record Robbies drums at practice with no problem. I love it

The podtrak has many of the features i want, only complaints i've heard are the preamp noise is high and the 44.1 sample rate may not be the best for editing audio in post, do you think these concerns are enough to skip on the p4?

I love my Zoom Podtrak P4 to death. Super awesome little recorder. Only minor downside is that it can't record 48 kHz, which doesn't make it optimal for video.

When you use this as an audio interface into a DAW, are you able to utilize 4 separate tracks, one for each input on the recorder ?

Lol I do the same thing when testing audio saying random things. 😂 Just bought this about to use on my next podcast. Seems like a great affordable solution. I wish it did multitrack by usb but I can live with the SD card for editing and use usb recording as a backup.
