You need a wheel to spin with different pieces of gear on it. When the wheel picks the gear, we will see “Will It Chug!?”. Then replace it on the wheel. This has a game show title, it might as well have a spinning wheel, a host, and a lovely.

LOL, this was so totally random. I'd love to see you do something similar with the Boss SY-200 when it comes out in January. Just make sure to throw some reverb and delay after the preamp, 'cause most synth pedals sound like trash until you add some ambience to them. (I had an SY-1 briefly, but they announced the SY-200 a few days after I got it. Needless to say, I returned it and preordered the latter since the ability to store presets is everything with this sort of pedal.)

That's funny, I can stack synths into my rig. 😅....you gotta play the pedal like its another instrument. You can't just shred on Synths. They are nice with a fuzz after... most synths have fuzz anyway, a good way to tame a synth is with a square wave tremolo afterwards, modulation and delay can be helpful too

One of those pedals that gets used for half hour, then goes in the box with the rest if the useless pedals. Not my thing, but I think the boss version is better, m ore usable keyboard sounds. Questioning if that would chug was obvious before you plugged it in. I give it a 3/10 because its good for parts.
@guga73 жыл бұрын
I give it 9/10 because it has great synth sounds, arpeggiator and it's cheap.
@beowulf14173 жыл бұрын
No pedal is useless in the right hands (though I'm sure there are some silly exceptions out there) but depending on how you use it, it is more a studio-bound pedal than live rig pedal. It's definitely got a lot more versatility than what we see in this video because Ola was just messing about with it.

A question for your next FAQ: Do you take care of the humidity in your house/office. And does it require a lot of care of electric guitars and humidity? I know acoustic does, but i couldn't really find certain articles about it. Yes i'm a beginner lol.
@trolologuy023 жыл бұрын
Just keep your fretboard oiled, if it dries out too much your fret ends can start to pop out. Other than that, I don’t know too much about humidity effecting electric guitars, unless the air is like wet, then maybe you could get some corrosion on the electric components. Other than that, just keep it clean.

This is a pedal for people who want to play Nintendocore.
@DoomKid2 жыл бұрын
Lmao!
@AnkothOfficial2 жыл бұрын
@Doomkid I'm serious, dude. Nintendocore uses similar synth sounds for its sound. The whole idea is Deathcore/Metalcore with Chip Tune/8bit synth leads, like old atari games. If you're struggling with getting extra band members or haven't got the money for an 8-bit synth module or a keyboard with these sounds, or your keyboard skills aren't the best, then this pedal will probably be a lifesaver for those who need these (slightly cheesy, albeit nostalgic and usable) sounds, especially when paired with FX pedals (some drive/a bitcrusher or something to make it sound nasty) and a Looper pedal to layer the sounds over axe playing. You pretty much have that Nintendocore sound in a SMALL guitar pedal, without needing any additional hardware, keys or software. I get why that may sound laughable at first, and yeah my comment was a bit on the jokey/sarcastic side, but it's true and will work well in a Nintendocore setting, or even an old game inspired soundtrack or old game themed power metal song, like those done by Dragon Force. 🐉 🎮 \m/ I'm personally a huge fan of guitar sound modules, synthesisers and samplers that allow the guitar user to expand their sonic pallette, without needing to learn keys or hire additional band members. While I'm not a fan of fake sounding synth sounds (synths were never my thing) and this pedal would be useless to me, I do like symphonic and Cinematic/proggy sounding shit, like the mellotron. The EHX Mel9 is my favourite for this, and it essentially allows a guitarist to trigger samples of popular mellotron sounds, with just their guitar. I wish Ola demoed it on his channel (maybe not on "Will it Chug?" As the pedal doesn't produce chuggy sounds) but on the Ola playing with Pedals/Testing Shit show, as that would allow Ola to figure out all the cool shit you can do with the pedal and potentially use it in a metal mix.
