Ola! Question for FAQ: with so many youtubers now having amp sims with their name on it, what are the chances of an Ola England signature amp sim? And, will we ever see some kind of guitar pedals (overdrive, noise gate etc) under the Solar brand?

@@holierthan Dude you can make impulse responses with 2 programs. You don't even need the equipment, just a sound sample. You can literally go to guitar center, find your gear, record it, and make your own that way. Easiest way would be to isolate tracks from a song and just get the IR from a song.

Never really understood why people sell impulse responses... I love the free roots amp, I use it for all seven string stuff I record with my own responses. Probably my favourite fake amp after the mercurial reaxis which isnt free but is amazing. Plug ins have made life so much easier when recording demos or even tracks to be reamped later. If I had any advice it would be grab as many impulse responses as you can because micing cabs up well is very difficult and inconsistent and some free responses are absolutely incredible and obviously bedroom friendly.

Thanks for the recommendation for the Ignite Emissary. I just threw that into one my mixes to to mess around with it, and it sounds amazing, especially when you blend it with other amps. I'm using a free 5150 sim that Glenn Fricker recommended on his channel on my left and right guitar tracks and threw this on the center guitar track with the "Lead Modern" preset just to mess around and it added life to my mix that I didn't know it needed. I recently switched to an M1 mac so at 1st I thought I lost LePou, but I managed to get it to work thanks to Osiris Guitars. I also recently got into your channel, and heard you had DI tracks but can’t find them. I just thought that it was interesting you came up with this video, at a time I’ve been digging and searching.

Also 4:45 The IR may not be great but if you mess with the Reverb, you can make it sound decent.

Ignite Amps / STL has a whole bunch of very good amp sims, ODs, and cab sims. Look them up. Serious good stuff

The Emissary is one of my favorites. I've tried tons of free amps and it's still my go-to.

Yeah Nothing to do with that overrated crap from neural DSP and tonehub

@@butcher_0392 Although I'm not a fan of Emissary (not my cup of tea), it's nice to hear someone else acknowledging how poor Neural DSP and STL stuff is lmao. They're horrible plugins. Literally the outdated and free VST Amp Rack in Cubase has a better distorted tone, or the various free LePou and TSE amp sims paired with a free IR like s-preshigh.

A really great free one I heard is called Fury by Cornflower - it has a similar layout to the Stevie T amp graphically speaking
