Soen is so goddamned good. The period of the Martins (Lopez/Mendez) was my favorite in Opeth's timeline, for sure. I was so happy when Lopez revealed Soen to us...so happy that he had a vessel to pour himself into and he brought friends!

Cool fact about James Labrie's previous albums is that the screams and drums are made by the drummer Peter Wildoer of Darkane from Helsingborg Sweden.

That’s the right attitude to have I don’t care if you’re trying to be in a band or just want to be able to chug along to songs on the radio, playing music on any instrument should be fun first and foremost. I’m almost 52 now and played in bands around Chicago, even played with Disturbed back before they got signed to a major, now I play with a killer drummer and record with him at his studio, we have so much fun and that’s what makes it worth while. You can be serious and have fun at the same time. Louise keep having fun you’re doing fantastic! Great attitude Ola, I think it’s super cool to jam with you wife on your channel. Love you guys, love the channel and I love your dog too, she’s a beautiful bull terrier. Peace and love peace and love.

Pepsi guy here , my grandfather worked for the Pepsi bottling company. So I have always been Pepsi Mt. Dew . My woman is a Coke Classic addict, I’ve been with her almost 5 years now and I’ve never seen her not have a coke first thing in the morning. It’s her coffee. I’ve been warned that I never want her to wake up to no Coke in the morning . Coke heads lol . No lie looking at 41 trips around the sun in June and I swear I’ve thought in the last week I’m falling apart . Feeling y’all on the getting old trend there.

@Ola Englund Hi Ola! What pickup height do you prefer on your guitars?
@asharpbflat71792 жыл бұрын
Great question! I started to set my pickups (passive ones, "traditional" guitars) pretty low but i have no clue if that accomplishes what I aimed for. (I'm always annoyed by too much picking attack eating up all the headroom). I kinda like the pickups as low as possible, they also don't get in the way of the plectrum so much. I'd like to hear a pro opinion tho, on how much this will actually affect 1) the output (this is most noticable) 2) the realative attack level (or dynamics) and 3) the sustain - I know i can also work around all of those things with compressors and for sure it's gonna be VERY different from one type of pickup to another.
@kordaxmint5332 жыл бұрын
@@asharpbflat7179 I like to set them low because they don't alter with string vibration and there are less "parasite" noises, but as you said, I end up touching the pickups with string or a pickup... also noise levels increasing too much.
@jeffreyschroder80042 жыл бұрын
Bridge pickup: two nickles, or a nickle and a dime. Tip I found on a guitar forum, a couple years ago, that seems to be a popular method.
@asharpbflat71792 жыл бұрын
@@jeffreyschroder8004 that's close to how you find guitars set in store, still I'd like to know which setting does what, exactly. Loudness-wise, strum-attack-wise, frequency-decay-sustain-dynamics-wise, etc. (If that sounds stupid then I insist it's only because english isn't my native language 😇)
@zalienthere-visitor14242 жыл бұрын
