I can approve of this video! Just got one a couple of months ago and I love it. Switched from Mesa to the 5150 iconic el34 and never looked back lol the sound you can get out of that thing is amazing and the speakers in the cabinet are evh cellestions and they sound great as you want them to sound from a beast of a rig like that.

I recently purchased this amp after my 6505+ shit the bed for the last time and absolutely love it!!! I also am quite fond of the green channels clean and overdrive sounds. I was really surprised by how much I love this amp, I much prefer it over the original iconic (which I’ve tried many times and never really liked enough)

Absolutely crushing tone Ola! Wow, that amp is a beast! I think I know what amp I’m getting if I ever decide to purchase another tube amplifier. You can’t go wrong with EVH/Fender when it comes to hard rock and metal applications. That amp is so raw and has plenty of saturation in the gain. Ola that song/riff is badass! Thank you for everything you do, very inspiring. 🤘

Unironically, those 3 items are needed to make most amps sound tight and focused. So even if you get another amp you will still have the golden trio of pedals there.

Great tones Ola. Merry Christmas to you Louise and your family and crew.
@darylhicks7008Ай бұрын
I bought both the EL34 and 6L6 heads. I prefer the EL34. Better tone. But hate the burn switch on both. Way to over the top. I run a TS9 on green channel overdrive engaged to tighten up and an SD1 on red channel. This amp is a very versatile piece of equipment. I love it. Took me a while to dial it in to my liking as I typically use a jcm800.

Don't get me wrong, the Mesa cab w/ V30's sounds amazing. I'm still kinda leaning toward the sound of the 5150 cab. I'm pretty sure it is loaded with Celestion EVH G12's which are a slightly tweaked Greenback if I'm not mistaken. Might be cool to replace a couple of the EVH G12's for V30's in an X pattern!

Although I love my 80w Iconic head in ivory, I'm interested in checking this one out. The only downside is that the green channel isn't foot switchable, though I hardly ever need a straight up clean sound. I get plenty of gain on the green channel with overdrive at or around 3pm, or just a bit higher if the pickups are weaker, plus an EQ pedal when needed.

Hey Ola , That's a beast Amp, but I personally remain by the JVM 410H . Meanwhile feel free to check our Teaser! Cheers Essabbar
