Carry supports in general have insane base value (Ekko, Pantheon, Camille) leading to them being always strong in 1v1s and skirmishes, the trade off is that your adc has a support protecting them, meaning they can be much more useful in teamfights as adc has insane impact in them. Generally a carry support wins lane but suffers later due to adc scaling better than most champions on average.
