Don't walk away from this thinking that Oland is a gun boat, it's not!
Oland is a 50/50 equivalent to a Benson "if" It's got Commander Jerzy Swirsky AND a heal to use in battle.

On the other hand lets fix some Oland misconceptions:
Oland is the lowest HP DD at Tier 8? Nope! Note 25,179 damage here w/no superintendent. Oh!
Guns awesome rate of fire is attributed to Jerzy Swirskys' 25% increase to Adrenalin Rush, he's not just an AA commander, far from it! Adrenaline rush is main guns reload Torps reload as well as AA.
Olands' Strong AA + Dodginess "dominates" the AA game. You've got to learn how though; it's not just a button push gimme. Oland can and must play "Can't touch this", she ""can"" AA dodge very well!
See my vids, Oland "can" dodge! I can't state/argue that loud enough.
Beyond the AA game her strength is her long fast torps with a great reload and her 5.8 conceal.
She's not just a torp boat either though as her guns are "adequate" (as seen here).
The result is that she fits/"adapts" into any MM match-up. That's why I love her SOOO much!

You must have "both" to dominate the AA game.
Example? Lightning is quite a-bit more maneuverable but sucks at the AA game via its weak AA.

i was one of the bb NC on the team it was a HORIBLE match to be a battleship that clutch you had was awesome to watch live! hope to run into you as a team mate again!

Ha ha yeah that wasn't a BB friendly match for sure. You adapted and hung in there without dying young which really helped. I appreciated your proper gameplay and recognized that you were battle aware throughout. I hope to see you on our team again too. Cheers: Robert
