Your sets always feel like records more than live sets, and that's a huge thing! No dead moments, lots of variations, absolute bangers ! keep going

In fact can you talk about about how you're mixing? Loving the switchups with that WMD! And those CV mixers, are you submixing or using them as sends?

hi mylar, thanks so much for the nice words! i will do a patch overview soon. it‘ll come out after the next live recording! I‘m using the 3 Synthrotek/MST mixers as 12 additional channels. i’m using this particular mixer because it has on/off switches per channel. mixer 1 is routed to WMD channel 4, mixer 2 to 5 and mixer 3 to 6. that gives me more channels for voices. i basically have tons of different synth and percussion voices and need those to switch between different sounds, synth lines, percussion etc.
@OLANGALACTICA2 жыл бұрын
the idea behind it is: with so many voices i‘m able to react to a crowd, to play 2-4 hours of music without getting too repetitive and to morph between styles (mostly house-ish and electro-ish vibes along with all the techno stuff)

oh and i have only 2 sends: a ping pong delay and an oliverb on a microclouds

@@OLANGALACTICA Thanks for clarifying this!! Great, and it's totally up my street. I absolutely love what you're doing with the mutes on the WMD, a lightbulb went off for me as this kind of multiple-switch-in/out at once is really hard without toggle _button_ mutes - I have only toggle switches in my system and you just can't switch them in/out in the same way. The LS1 to control a HP filter of the mix = genius. I'm shamelessly stealing a load of inspiration from how you're approaching this!!

42:39 Love when it drops back in just after the time stamp. What's the touch module you're using to (i believe) control a filter? Looks like a great performance tool
@OLANGALACTICA3 жыл бұрын
