I do Judo and Japanese Jujitsu and some techniques in this video seem to be forever forgotten in modern Judo like the leg lock at 1:14 or the Shiho Nage at 3:06. They are not even in the Jigoro's Kodokan book (the 80's edition). I see these kind of techniques in JJJ, not Judo. My guess is that traditional Judo back then was focused on a more self defense type martial art than most judo schools today that are way focused on competition. I don't judge if it's a bad thing or not, just an observation.
