Established in 1973 and featuring a whopping 168 stalls, Old Airport Road Food Centre is one of the oldest and largest hawker centres in Singapore. The hawker centre was established to resettle street hawkers from the Kallang Estate area. It is named after the nearby Kallang Airport, Singapore’s first civilian airport, which ceased operations in 1955. Despite its age, the centre remains a bustling hub for food lovers, offering a wide variety of affordable and authentic local dishes.
The hawker centre was under renovation from June to September and is now officially open for business with new tables and chairs, on 1 October 2024. The renovation encompassed a comprehensive overhaul including the installation of new tables and chairs, high-volume low-speed fans, and energy-efficient LED lighting. Additionally, the food centre added upgrades to its restrooms and the installation of new floor and wall tiles, enhancing both its functionality and aesthetics.
This hawkers center is located at Old Airport road in Paya Lebar area. It does have so many varieties of foods and dishes, some of them are really good featuring many local favorites.

Lao Fu Zi Fried Kway Teow, Nam Sing Hokkien Fried Mee, Holy Grill, Hua Kee Hougang Famous Wan Ton Mee, Albert Street Prawn Noodle, Roast Paradise, Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodle, Toa Payoh Rojak. Western Barbeque: Known for its garlic sauce and delicious grilled meats like pork chop and lamb chop. Xiang Ji Lor Mee: Famous for its thick, flavorful gravy and generous toppings. Dong Ji Fried Kway Teow: Offers a spicy and well-coated char kway teow with a perfect wok hei. Wen Wen Pork Rib Big Prawn Mee: Known for its robust seafood hotpot, featuring a variety of seafood and meats.
